In reply to: Categories as SubdomainsYea, definitely. I can’t even get in touch with the author; it’s like he’s dropped off the face of the earth, or doesn’t want to be bothered by anyone.

In reply to: 3.0 made my site extremely slowI’m having the same exact issues. Luckily, I’ve written a staging script that I run to sync the files and database to another subdomain that I can test before I push live. So my main site is going to stay at the previous version until this is sorted out.

In reply to: Can’t download WordPress 2.7winoth,
Clear your cookies and cache from Firefox. Try another browser just to test it. I’ve tested the download and it works from my end.

DrewDid you install or did you upgrade?
If you installed, I would try reinstalling. Also, if you can, see if you can look at any server error logs that could have been generated.
If you upgraded, then it’s probably an issue with the plugins. You will need to revert back to your old install, disable all plugins, then reupgrade.

It is under the header.php file in your themes directory under the theme that is currently active.

In reply to: Rackspace and WordPressChris,
They basically gave you the answer you were looking for. Try changing the folders permissions to 775. Also check the user and group permissions. 755 means that the owner can read, write, and execute the file, but the group that it is assigned to can only only read and execute it, and anyone else can do the same (read and execute). If you change it to 775, then the owner and the group can read/write/execute and the webgroup might be the one trying to write to the directory, I don’t know your setup, so I can’t say for sure.
Best of luck!

In reply to: RSS Link Broken – NONE will work now! What will happen to my blog if I take it somewhere else? For example, will I lose everything?
Nah. Just make sure you have your website files and your database backed up. Lower your TTLs on your domain (if at all possible). If your domain is hosted with Yahoo! AND you purchased it through them, then you will probably need to wait awhile. You will need to contact them about transferring your domain to an actual domain registrar, such as Go Daddy, that way you have control over where you move your site, ever.
So, basically, you need to be able to move your files and database over to a new server and be able to change your nameservers to the new provider.
Best of luck to you!

In reply to: no email notificationsHeya,
Are all your guys using shared hosting? I run my own dedicated server and I am not having this problem and I upgraded to WordPress 2.3.1 about 20 days ago.
I would seriously look into your webhost for any issues pertaining to this.

In reply to: Stephen J Arnett – MixbookHello Stephen,
Do you have a link to your blog that we can see this problem? Also, is there documentation from Mixbook that tells you what code you need to add to get it to integrate into your own website?
