Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Static link on websiteHi Media X.
Thank you so much for replying this is much appreciated.
Only after a few hours I found the place.
It was only for 1 image but this was coded in the template that I used. I thought that when I search in Windows 7 that it would also look in files but it didn’t found anything. Seemed that Win7 has bugs in the search functions for searching insite files. After finding it in wordpress i logged in with FTP and changed it in the correct .php file. Thanks anyway for you help.

In reply to: Issues with Firefox and IE8Great to hear you solved it.
Could you please tell me where you found it? was it in the place as I told and did you test it with succes? You should identify the code used on the webpage. This has nothing to do with WordPress. It could be that some codes are not supported in IE8. You should also ask yourself if you want to support IE8 ( how many people will use this nowadays). You will probably tell me that you want IE8 support as Windows XP don’t support newer versions… well ur correct but… Microsoft also tell us that they will stop supporting Windows XP in April 2014. So people must buy Windows vista/7/8 which support IE9 and comes default with IE9. Conclusion, I wouldn’t invest my time in it.

In reply to: Issues with Firefox and IE8If you go to the page on which you inserted the image you could just add the www. in front of the URL. If it is in a theme should go modifying you theme. There is probably a top image.
First I would look in the page “checkout” as if you browse to other pages the url changes ( https / http ). On the checkout / cart page there will probably a link to the url.
Else it could be possible to verify your side bars ( top bar )

In reply to: Issues with Firefox and IE8Ps. I think I found you exact problem.
Your certificate is for https://www.freckledfrog.co.uk and your image in the checkout section goes to freckledfrog.co.uk which is missing www. in it. Just change this and it should work.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Pictures not activateddid you connect the slider to a page?
Did you specify that the image is included in the slider?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Issues with Firefox and IE8I got a hint.
You are missing some images because of the certificate.
If I inspect your website I see that your header image is located here: https://freckledfrog.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/cropped-webbannerresized3.pngIf I manually go to this page it gives a certificated error.
So I think you could try first:
– add the website link ( I provided above ) to the trusted website in Internet Explorer and verify if it works.
– Verify your https certificate and see for which domains it is made.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Pictures not activatedyou really should add some more information. What are you trying to archieve, what did you do and what did you expect it to do.

Finally I got it up and running. It seemed to work all the time only the changes hasn’t been propagated to the computer. Could anyone tell me if this indeed could take some time ( 30 minutes ) after also clearing the cache? The last thing I did was looking at the permalinks and didn’t change anything…Sorry to post updates but now if another starter with wordpress has this issue he knows what to do.
The reason of why the pictures weren’t working was because the dumbnut of the other hoster didn’t provide me the folder with the pictures… great huh
Thanks anyway for reading ??

I finally got the website up but I do have some issues with the website. The homepage does work but I can’t see any images and when I click a different tab it can’t find the page.
I know this isn’t much information but is there anyone who knows what an amateur like me could forget?
