Yes, so sorry, you are 100% correct, this security alert belongs to VC-Tabs, (a developer named “Biplob Adhikari.”)… I have his TABS accordions plugin installed on my website.
Also, noticed that his plugin was removed from WordPress back in March 2024 for security issues.

And, said I would need to work with you guys (PickPlugins) to find out what the cause might be. I’ll leave this support ticket open until you can have a look see and discover what the conflict is.
BTW: We are just using the free version of Ninja Forms.
Maybe install their plugin on a test site with your plugin and check into it.Ninja Forms is a major Plugin with over 1 Million users.
So, I’d say it would be good to learn what is up with this odd conflict.Looks like Ninja Forms plugin has its own User Registration (but it is not for email verification), and there might be a possible conflict somehow with that.
I sent them a message about this issue. Perhaps there is something that can be switched off inside their plugin that will solve the compatibility issue with yours.
I could not see any errors.
It is NOT WORKING for me either… I have the exact same problem as you, the edit functionality is dead. The plugin is essentially broken (AGAIN).
This is totally unacceptable. And, it is the THIRD time we’ve had MAJOR issues with this plugin since we purchased it.
There’s been other total functional breaks in the past with this thing. Repairs take way, way, way too long to fix from the plugin’s designer and with the recent security breach here in December, I’m sorry to have to say that I am done with it.
This plugin is plagued with problem, after problem, after problem and I’m not moving forward with it. I will be tasking a team member of mine to rebuild everything on all our websites with… Tabs By wpshopmart
Hopefully the new Tabs plugin by wpshopmart will be better than this one going forward long term.
I am so disappointed, since Content Tabs does have a nicer look, (better than, “Tabs By wpshopmart”), and Content Tabs also has such a nicer design to all of the ways that it operates.
Sadly, the problem is that Content Tabs is so horribly unreliable with its poor track record of major security issues and complete functional breaks that take much too long to repair.

My sincerely apologies, after going through a number of other site errors we have now learned today that the problems were actually being caused by another plugin called, “W3 Total Cache” We removed that plugin and re-activated yours and everything is now functioning fine. Again, my sincere apologies.
The error happens when trying to save anything; Pages & Posts. I’m running a StudioPress theme on the Genesis framework. We run a Membership website using LearnDash & MemberPress.

Upon taking a further look, your plugin is somehow blocking or disabling the REST API. For the time being we’re keeping your plugin deactivated.
Is there a way to remove, replace, or change the settings for your plugin to enable the REST API again? Maybe that will help?
UP-DATE to My 1-Star Rating:
I wanted to say that my 1-Star rating was made when the plugin updated with many errors. However, in the new version of 3.4 the errors have been fixed. The plugin now runs much better. I’ll change my rating to 4-Stars, but not 5-Stars due to very slow customer support.

@spielo The 3.3.2 version is not as stable as the 3.2.1 version. The clone feature does work, but it isn’t working properly, as it does not bring in all of the cloned tabs, you need to re-make everything from scratch. I have no idea what is going on at this point with this plugin. I’ve been a WordPress website builder for years and have never seen such a mess with a plugin, and such a long repair period.
This is without any doubt the best Tab’s plugin on the market in terms of options and features, templates, etc. It just needs somebody behind it who understands consistency.
Hello, I just worked on the testing of your up-date live on our site. The Clone feature is working again, (thank you), but sadly the Clone button does not work like it used to operate before in the old 3.2.1 version.
The new version’s Clone button does not create a 100% clone of the template being duplicated, (the old version created a complete Clone of all of the tabs from the original layout).
The v.3.2.1 used to include “Everything” when it cloned, which was what made it so excellent to work with as a web-designer. Please bring that back again, it saves my team an enormous amount of time to have a total 100% clone of the template.
Also, I have no idea what the new button (in the latest version) called, “Template” does? When I click on it nothing happens.
Overall, it is great to have the plugin functioning again, but the Clone feature needs a fix so that is goes back to how it used to function in v.3.2.1.

We would really like to see you get this working once again. Replacing all of the pages that run your plugin on my site with another TAB plugin would cost me approximately $11,000.00 USD in man-power alone and it would nearly bankrupt my online business.
The cloning feature that you created last year sets your plugin apart from all the rest. Cloning is a brilliant feature that saves my team many, many hours of labor. That function (along with continued stability of your plugin) is critical to all of us who depend upon you to feed our families with our online businesses.
In the future, please be extremely, painstakingly careful about what you release to your customers. You have developed an excellent plugin, the best of this kind out there, with the best templates and systems – like the clone feature, (which is why we chose yours).
We need this to be 100% stable on every future release. It is all we ask of you.
It works on my test server. I’m reluctant to try it on my main site because we have over 700 pages running your plugin and we cannot do an uninstall /re-install.

The developer somehow broke it when he upgraded to the current version.
It’s been broken for about 3 weeks now and he doesn’t reply to posts here, nor does he reply to emails. He’s turned into a ghost, so we’ve basically lost our money and he’s abandon the plugin.
Contact Wordpres.org so that this plugin’s download can be deactivated.
We’ve started switching over our web-site to use another plugin called, “Everest Tab – responsive tab plugin for wordpress.”

Additionally, the support rules on www.remarpro.com clearly state that in cases where the script or code of a plugin is in error due to an up-date breaking functionality, a support ticket cannot be set to “resolved” unless the plugin has been repaired back to a state of full functionality.
Biplob Adhikari is in serious risk of losing his access to the www.remarpro.com repository unless he fixes this issue with the “Responsive Tabs with WooCommerce Product Tab Extension,” as soon as possible.
If the damage to the plugin is beyond a quick repair, the plugin MUST be rolled back to its previous version to restore functionality for the users. These are the RULES of www.remarpro.com repository.
