Content Views Pro is not as open ended. Custom Content Shortcode is straightforward and so fully customizable.

However, the CVP developer is very active and adding features/fixing issues and if the user has something they cannot do, he regularly writes the function or updates the plugin to make it possible (assuming it fits in the scope and vision of the plugin). He went above and beyond in helping me for example.

That is invaluable.

The div for each custom field has its own class so you can style stuff pretty much how you want. There are some limitations, but they can usually be worked around. You have to determine if it will work for you.

Also, I really like how easily CVP can replace archives, taxonomy pages, single page views etc.

I’ve removed Custom Content Shortcode from the various sites I manage.

For my main uses, Content Views Pro has replaced it.

This is like my all time favorite plugin!!

I’m also worried about the future of the plugin and I am stopping depending on it… which is terrible cause there is nothing else out there like it. I would happily pay for a commercial plugin that was this good!!

It looks like the problem is resolved. I realized Zapier was also not working and was having the similar error. Our hosting service updated the DNS resolvers (whatever that means) and now Gravity to NB and Zapier are both working as expected.

I still have not figured out how to re-connect Gravity with NationBuilder. Obviously moving the site to a new server (same domain name etc) broke the connection, but I need some guidance how to fix this.

I tried re-saving the various components. There is also a link that says: “You already have an access token stored, but you may click here to generate and save a new one.”

I tried clicking that and saving. Did not help.

aha! The existing form is now working… re-saving the feed worked, all tags, custom fields etc are functional and importing into NB correctly

okay, I guess Gravity Forms auto updated a couple days ago… I just made a new form and that now works going into NB… but the forms I made during the period from Nov3 to 11th still do not work.

Is there some way I can now make those forms work? I can remake them if necessary… but then I would lose the entries already there… 50+

I have 2.1.1 already… could they have made a tiny update and not changed the number?

For clarification… you made a new version (0.3.6) of Importer for Gravity Forms and NationBuilder plugin and Gravity Forms will also be putting up an update?

okay, I made a complete new form with just Name, Email and Phone and it also gets this error:

Error code: invalid_custom_field
Error message: Your request had an unknown custom field

There was just a gravity forms update a couple days ago. I am using GF 2.1.0.1. I have 0.3.3 of your plugin and I am also using a plugin called Disable Gravity Forms Fields which allows me to hide sub-labels. Disabling that had no change.

Also, I am using Enfold theme.

So it seems that any new forms/feeds I make do not go into NB. The form entries are working fine. I don’t know how to troubleshoot this further.

The NB custom field has been there for a while.

I rebuilt the feed and even not using the custom field it still returns the same error.

I suppose rebuilding the whole form is next…

I assume the fields in the form have no bearing on the feed… only what I add to the field.
