You mentioned a couple times that you are “authorizing” or “failing” the purchase. Can you tell us how you’re doing that exactly?

I am still in the sandbox version of stripe. Every time I pay with any payment method other than CC, I have the chance to fail or to authorize the payment.

I did what you said, but there is no error in the log…

THe only indication of what is happening is if I look in the order details:

In both cases, the client gets first an “unpaid” invoice due to the on hold status. Like I mentioned earlier, maybe this whole issue could be prevented if woocommerce would send the on-hold emails about 5 minutes later (well check if it’s even on hold anymore and send it if it still is).

If yes, can you check if you’re perhaps using a template override or a plugin that’s modifying your store’s default email templates?

Thanks for the tip! I did some testing and found the plugin that changes this: it’s a multicurrency plugin. I already submitted a ticket to them for the fix!

Thanks for your reply! Well not sure if they are not talking properly, because normal operations work without a hiccup.

It’s also really annoying – obviously the pay button that the customers are presented with just leads them to a message saying the order is complete and for further assistance to talk to us.

For the second problem with SOFORT, if only WooCommerce would wait a few minutes before generating/sending the on hold email, maybe in that time the payment finishes processing and then there is no need for the order on hold email, and the customer directly gets the order completed email (which, based on my tests, comes 3-5 minutes after the original email with the “your order is with us but is unpaid yet” on hold email.

Oh, and one additional problem also related to this….

When using SOFORT and authorizing the payment from the first pass, I get the payment complete message and email.

When first failing the payment and then confirming it on the second pass, the user gets the on-hold message that essentially tells them to pay (in addition to the message after checkout from above), even if the payment was already completed. Only a few minutes later they get the payment success email.

This is a horrible behavior – not sure if from woocommerce or stripe…
Fortunately EPS and Alipay do send immediately the payment confirmed e-mail and not the on hold one.

How can I solve this issue?

Laughable reply, as soon as it hits I uninstalled elementor with the speed of light.

Just a little bit of further investigation:

forminator_send_export seems to be running on all page loads…. – even if it only appears in Cron Events when loading a page and is “non-repeating”

Thank you for your message, I am only now getting to it…

It is not really happening on EVERY page load, but definitely on over 50% of them. To put things in perspective with real numbers…for every page load, all DB queries take about 0.25-0.39s – of which 0.18-0.25s is the theme (yes I know, slow theme), and the rest – so 0.08 to 0.14s all plugins and the core (roughly 0.02s). This forminator update db query takes 0.05-0.08s… on over 50% of page loads….

To your question: I am using the standard WP Cron

I already had the WP Crontrol and there are no stalled or overdue cron events…

Let me know what you might need to further debug this,

Actually I want to do the opposite! So if I include the tax in cart then the price will appear in my confirmation e-mail as: xx EUR (includes XX EUR [Tax Name]). What I want is for WooCommerce to send the e-mails just as it would when the prices are set in cart to exclude tax. So in the email I would have an extra line under the subtotal with the [Tax Name] and xx EUR tax amount, and the total line without any mention of tax.

I hope now it’s clearer what I am asking ??
