This is clear sign that you dont care about this plugin …

Okay so, I spent like years with finding something replicable and also being able to fix it, and I think I got to the bottom of the reasons why and how it is not working. And its still not fixed 100%

I was (and hopefully I will be still) using plugin Scalability Pro and there is definitely one problem … BUT … its somehow weird … maybe the problem is on both sides.

They have one function, that is said to be used for imports, I wasnt importing anything yet but still had it enabled because I didnt know its causing something bad … This is the function: https://ibb.co/0sczXXM

The thing is … even when I disabled this option, deleted mentioned indexes, or even disabled the plugin, flushed Cache (although this has anything with frontend cache), flushed OP Cache, (I dont have redis, memcached or anything like that), used tool for recounting terms and other tools from woo to clear everything, NOTHING CHANGES …. I could disable all plugins besides of woocommerce, I could switch to default theme, and again try everything, still the count for term or category was zero (the products that were under those categories or had those terms was added before this procedures).

BUT in the point this option was disabled, and I added new product with that category, it finally recounted the count and it was correct …

My point is …

1. You should definitely get to talk with that guy from Scalability Pro, he has great ideas, but obviously not perfect and dig to the bottom of this issue, so you can maybe implement few of his ideas

2. You could probably check if the function to recount terms always works as it should, because now it still does not work for me although the Scalability Pro is disabled … I can just make it to recount term/category by adding new product with that category, with terms it will be worse, because there is many … because it still recounts only the used one … The point I want to also make here is that this issue is maybe not easily recognized by people because you never check if count of products has increased in backend, you just check if the product appears on frontend and its enough…. so maybe also other people has problem with recounting on demand but they didnt notice…

Also exporting and importing didnt help, something is weirdly broken …

I cloned to staging, tried Troubleshooting mode (with plugin), used all tools to recalculate values, didnt work

Tried to do it for real, activated Storefront, deactivated all plugins besides of only Woocommerce, tried to regenerate everything, still the counts are wrong …

although when I open the category or attribute term in backend or frontend, I see all products that I should, but the count is wrong and also the category that has wrong count 0 isnt showed in shop pages (where I dynamically display categories with products in it)

Only way I see you can help me is to send you copy of my wp_posts table maybe

I will try to export and import products back, maybe it can help but I doubt it little bit, it also will not explain what was wrong

I think something is broken with the database … because I tried disabling the plugins that could interfere with this but nothing helped, I also tried to check the logs for you, for many days there are no errors and if I found any in past it wasnt rellevant at all, here is the system report (I could not insert it as a plain text, nothing happened after ctrl+v, so I sent it as a code, just letting you know that some people can be having the same problem):

There is plugin called Perfect Brands, maybe you know it, I use it, and I would like to dynamically add Product Brands to Product SEO Titles or meta descriptions. So it would like Product name | Brand | Site name …

One thing I found out now is that when I open the products under that term that shows 0 products, it will actually show the product that has that attribute term

I found out where the error was … if the attribute doesnt have Archive turned on, it will not show up to be editable table in smart manager … weird

5. Confusing is that if you click Copy, you are expecting to copy the template you are editing right now to some other template. (or at least you don’t know if it is from the current template to another or vice versa). So it needs to be stated with texting correctly at least. Something like “Copy template from” … Because I was expecting to be copying my new template to other emails but I overrode my current template so I lost few hours of figuring everything up and working on it
