I can reproduce the mentioned behaviour, it breaks GA functionality and renders it useless here. We re-pasted a clean version of the code into the input field and are going to stay the hell away from there now.

I’m not sure, but plugin updates might possibly cause more backslashes in addition to saving the settings.

I’d like to report similar problems with the Facebook plugin 1.0.2 in WP 3.4.1. We already tried de- and reactivating the app and just hitting the save button, to no avail. Debug info is at the bottom of this post.

We’d been having problems with the plugin in version 1.0.1 as well where an og-url error was displayed (that url was sent twice and was thusly being rejected) when the plugin was supposed to publish to our fan page. This error remains in 1.0.2

After the upgrade to 1.0.2 the plugin disabled the “Publish to fan page” option with no possibility of us re-enabling it. In the respective dropdown there’s only “DISABLED” visible.

If you need more inflo we’ll gladly provide it.

I encountered a fatal error with plugin version 1.5.9 on WP 3.3.2 whilst trying to activate the plugin:

unexpected &end on line 497.

An additional closing curly brace on the mentioned line seems to have done the trick. It’s shown as activated.

Thought I’d let you know. Since the support topic was pretty general, I just hopped on.

Edit: I’m following your instructions for publishing to FB now, but cannot find the mentioned “Settings->Social Networks AutoPoster Options”. Maybe my layman’s tactic didn’t work out so well after all?
