Have you co-incidentally updated to WordPress 4.5?

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Which outbound port is used to send transaction reports?OK. Thanks.
I’ve asked a similar question on of WordPress as I have noticed that this is not the only problem.
I have no Google Analytics, no Akismet and no new user regitration (admin) emails…
Holier than thou hosting companies…
Steve
PS: they have also arbitrarily set my php.ini file upload limit to 2M. As I’m paying for the storage, I don’t see what gives them the right to do that. ??

In reply to: [Timely All-in-One Events Calendar] upgradeI used the Timely Update button and it just re-installed 1.10.11 !
I don’t want to lose my 200+ existing events so will wait awhile to see what else comes up on the support forums.[Time.ly website says “existing users just use the Timely Update feature…”]

In reply to: [Sky Login Redirect] White Screen of Death after LoginI used to have a photo avatar but when I logged in to start this thread, it gave me this stupid gravatar-thing…

In reply to: [Sky Login Redirect] White Screen of Death after LoginThe only person who would do that is me… and I can’t think why I would.
I don’t actually know what “filter hooks” are ??
So reinstalling the plugin would have repaired it as well?
Thanks for your help Matt.

In reply to: [Sky Login Redirect] White Screen of Death after LoginLooks like it is just admins.
Try it now.

In reply to: [Sky Login Redirect] White Screen of Death after LoginYou are right. Maybe it is only admins(?) I did wonder why I didn’t get more complaints from the 600+ members. Only from the other admin.
I use Custom Login plugin to alter the CSS for the login page, presumably this overwrites the WP-Members login page?
Maybe I’ll upgrade test_subscriber to admin temporarily and see if it is affected then.

In reply to: [Sky Login Redirect] White Screen of Death after LoginYes. Did it just after my last post. (and I get the white screen when I login…)

In reply to: [Sky Login Redirect] White Screen of Death after LoginYes I have access, but the server log is a 1.6G txt file… I’ll have to speak to the server guys to delete it (I can’t) so that a smaller file is available.
I am using 30+ plugins, including WP eCommerce, ai1ec Calendar, WP Filebase and WP-Members. Most of the others are admin, cache etc.

In reply to: [Viper's Video Quicktags] YouTube won't autoplayUpdate: works on my client’s IE9 so may be something on my PC config? I’ve tried Firefox and IE9 and neither will autoplay…
You’re welcome. I figured it out myself too, which is why I sometimes post a reply on here to something that bothered me.
You will have to be careful with hotlinking to the “hidden” files though, as WP-Members only protects the WP pages – not the files in the directory. Once Google finds them, anyone can link directly to downloadable (eg pdf) files, bypassing the members-only section.
The way to fix this is via your .htaccess file.
I have done exactly this.
I use the WP-Members plugin and set the WP-Filebase page to allow members only.
WP-Members and WP-Filebase seem to work well together.

In reply to: [Twenty Twelve] How to apply IE8 fix to Twenty Twelve?Sorry for not being more specific.
As my child theme already has custom functions.php and style.css files, I installed the fixes to the main theme folder. I tried the ie.css in the child theme but it wouldn’t pick it up, so moved it to the main theme folder.
You are right. When twentytwelve v1.1 (?) comes out with these fixes built in, I want it to overwrite what I’ve just done.
Happy now as I won’t have to explain to my boss why our fancy new website won’t work on IE8 (he uses IE9 and so hadn’t noticed – I’ve been scurrying around try to fix it before he does…)
