I think I have already answered my second question, and that answer would be that there is a set size to the slides for the slider associated with the Color Way theme.

But I have not answered my first and third questions.

Well, I believe that I have finally discovered the problem. Accessing the website via our Internet Service Provider, I find that WordPress based applications runs unusually slowly.

I just tried one last time to reorganize slides using drag and drop. What I found is that if I drag the slide to its new location and WAIT LONG enough, it will indeed drop into its newly assigned spot.

Just another reason I detest COMCAST.

I have not pursued this further as I am only someone who has been asked to work on someone else’s website that uses this slider.

I do not know what level of person I have been set up as (contributor, administrator, etc.) Is it possible if I am not of a certain class of user that I can only add slides and not rearrange them?

I am also not pursuing this further as I am not sure that I will continue as a volunteer with the website on which this is used. So I have set this topic to “resolved.”

I have tried to figure out how to drag and drop my slides in order to rearrange them, and I am now convinced that since the description of this product shows no slide rearrangement capability and I can not get anything I have tried to do this, it simply does not exist.

I am unclear about what I did or did not do, but now it works as I want it to work.

I removed the avatar from each user whose avatar was not loading, and then I reloaded the avatar and updated the page. Everything now works.

When I started my site, I was using Hobbyist, and the missing pictures were probably all loaded with that version. Now I am using Pro. Does this mean that there is a different directory to which I should now move the photos? There are only about five of these, and it will be very easy to move them, but I am not sure where they should now reside.

Thank you! I deactivated each of my plugins and then went to the parent album chosing the setting I wanted. And voila, it worked.

I thought my preferred order would be “timestamp desc” or “timestamp reverse” but this did not work for me as the albums timestamp did not change when I modified them. So then I thought I would use order number (something I tried previously). I gave each of my four members a different order number and then set Table IV-D1 to sort in Order # sequence. But still there was no movement in the order in which these four albums are presented.

I guess I confused matters by talking about “sourcefiles.” My problem is that none of my photos show in my albums. There is a place for each of them, and in the backend I can view their title, description and size, but neither in the administative end nor in the public end of the site are these photos or their thumbnails visible.

Since I first posted, I learned that the photos that WPPA uses are stored in a part of the wordpress database on my site. I went to this table and found that all the pictures which are shown as “Source File Unavailable” are indeed in the data base. So why will they not show up in their albums?
