In reply to: My blog looks too normal.. any suggestion?To many ads, one of the main reasons blooging is great is to get away from all the add-content sites that have plagued the net for past few years, why all those ads, do you really expect to make money off them ?

In reply to: how to get username showing with logout linkBump for reply..let me clarify maybe that will get more insight.
my site is customized so logged in users are redirected to index.phpI want to use the <?php wp_loginout(); ?> tag, unfortunatly it has no parameters, on a navbar in my header for users to login or out like following
if user logged in the link would show—> logout(username)
it would also show a link to—->profile.phpIf user isnt logged in—–>login/register
Seems simple enough but I have several problems, first I cant get <?php wp_loginout(); ?> to align properly with the other links (home, about, contact) it shows up under the menu.
Second I cant call the username and display it next to logout
I also have no idea how to call a link to profile.php if the user is logged in.any pointers to where code of this sort would exist would help, thanks.

In reply to: Any hacks/plugs for user dashboard?I am fully aware of users levels and thats not what im looking for, what im looking for is a guide to hacking the dashboard for registered users only. I still want to use the dashboard but want to tailor it for people who register. I am using wp with other web aps and would like to somehow itegrate them into a simple registration interface. The default dashbaord needs to be more customizable.
I’ll explain what I want..when a user logs in they will see a custom page( by custom I mean with my own logo/menu, etc) with profile, ability to write/edit thier own page, a link to upload photos through another application that I use (gallery2).
Theres got to be code out there that can redirect login user levels to a differant page?

In reply to: Need help With warping sidebarHrm well I figured out why but im still wondering if there a fix , in testing the width i was just typing like one letter with no spaces ( like pppppppppppppp etc for 3 lines) and this made it bleed into the sidebar, typing several normal sentances it fit fine, even though no ones gona type 150+ consecutive letters it shouldnt do that.

In reply to: Need help With warping sidebarSorry can you be more specific this is very frustrating. Adding overflow: hidden did nothing to both .narrowcolumns. I have 4 .commentlist so I tried setting the width in each one to see if that worked and it didnt, doing .commentlist p {
width: 375px; }
worked but it only resized the first comment, everything under first one is unchanged.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: Need help With warping sidebarOn a side note what how would I also limit the responses to 400px, right now they bleed into the sidebar.
