  • Hi! I have the exact same problem. I managed to change the description on the pages, but not on Blog (Categories) – description is still the exact same. How can I change that? When I create a category I don’t have an option to change it, and when I create a post in the category I can change the description in the post itself, but it still stays on the (main) category page. Thank for the help in advance!

    All right, thanks very much.
So, I can update my theme now, if I used just the Option panel and I can create a child theme whenever I want for my website if I want to change more than the Option Panel.
    Thanks very much!

Thank Janet, imranaliweb, but I don’t think you understood my questions. I am trzing to explain it in more details.

My first question is that if I changed only the css on my page without child theme, but my changes are in the custom css box in the Option Panel – which was basically created for these kind of changes as far as I know – can I update my theme in this case without losing the changes?

My second question is re future changes. If my website is up and running, but I would like to make a change in the future – can I create a child theme and use it when the site is running already or I need to start building my site from the scratch? So can I use child theme later on or I have to use it from the first changes of the site?

I hope it is clear now what I mean. Thanks for your help in advance.

I don’t need any technical support at the moment, I am just trying to understand if I can update the theme without losing what I have or better not. And also if I want to change something in the future there is a possibility to do so or I need to start again. You can find my link here if that helps something. ??
    Thanks in advance.
