In reply to: [Kids Education Bell] How to remove the page-site-headerNot to worry, I’ve decided to use a different theme.
I do think the large header is old-fashioned.

In reply to: Hiding WidgetsThanks, Ralph. Unfortunately I already thought of that one, and it makes my whole footer disappear, including the menus that I need.

In reply to: How to Style Table BlockI’m so sorry, what a silly mistake! Thank you.

In reply to: How to Style Table BlockThanks for your patience but I can’t see how to post a screenshot here.
I’m posting it in Appearance–>Customise–>Additional CSS. Currently my additional CSS section looks like this:
`.posted-on {
display: none;
}img[class*=”wp-image-“] {
margin-top: .25em;
margin-bottom: 1em;
box-shadow: none;
border-radius: 2px;
border: none;
padding: 5px;table{
width:100% !important;
margin-top:2rem !important;}
table td{
padding:1em !important;

In reply to: How to Style Table BlockThanks, still not working. I would expect that to work fine but it has no effect at all, even with cache cleared.

In reply to: How to Style Table BlockSorry, I don’t understand what you mean.

In reply to: How to Style Table BlockDo you mean in Additional CSS? I tried it in Additional CSS and it did nothing.
I did read somewhere that because the Table Block is wrapped in a figure, additional CSS won’t work – but it was only one post and I can’t find it now.

In reply to: [Sixteen] Main menu appearing over headerI have managed to fix this by rolling back to the previous version of the theme, but that does not mean it is resolved.
It appeared to be the mobile menu that was appearing on the header, even when viewed on a laptop.

In reply to: [Spam protection, Anti-Spam, FireWall by CleanTalk] Deceptive2015? I can only assume I installed it on another site, didn’t like it and deleted it. I have certainly never used it before.

In reply to: [Storefront] Removing Whitespace on Pages but Not ProductsI agree, the amount of white space in the basic design is ridiculous. I’d love to know what the designers were thinking?
I have managed to remove a lot of empty space by using Powerpack, but the front page is still a problem:
You’ll notice that we’ve put a logo in the “Below Header” space, but that isn’t what’s causing the problem – if you check any of the other pages, they’re all fine.
(on another note, I’m perplexed why the text on the front page isn’t symmetrically placed. The page title and text are both aligned centre, but the whole thing is shifted over to the left. It looks as though we’ve left space for a right sidebar and then didn’t put it in!
We’ve created a temporary fix by removing the title and left-aligning the text but it’s not perfect.
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Feature request > sort themes by ratingYes, of course I could put up a test site and test it myself. But why should I?
I don’t judge by the number of stars. I read the reviews to see if they are relevant to what I want to do. I also give the support forums more weight than the ratings. I look at what difficulties people experience and whether the developer is responding. That tells me a lot.
What ratings really tell me is how long the theme has been in existence. A theme with no ratings has so few users, it won’t have any support threads either.
If user experience is really so useless, why does WordPress provide the opportunity for ratings?
Forum: Requests and Feedback
In reply to: Feature request > sort themes by ratingI always check ratings and support threads. Yes, ratings are subjective BUT what else do I judge by?
A theme with no reviews and no support threads is a theme that is untried and untested by users. Why take the risk?

In reply to: [WP Power Stats] Fatal error on PermissionsI should add that I’ve tried typing in “Editors” and “Editor”, since it’s not clear which one I should use. Both give the same error.
I also have another role on my site, Senior Editor – as this role is not a standard one on WP, I’m not sure whether I would be able to use it with the plugin?
