In reply to: [Event Rocket] QR code integration?Great, thanks!
I still have so much to learn about the way WordPress works…Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Event Rocket] QR code integration?Barry, you rock. Thanks again for taking the time to help out a PHP illiterate like me! It all works like a charm.
In case some people wonder, I of course needed to change the content of the “add_filter” function in the plugin file to make it become:
add_filter( '', 'qr_code' );

In reply to: [Event Rocket] QR code integration? Thanks Barry!
This indeeds helps me get a post-specific QR code at the end of each item in the list generated by Events Rocket, which is awesome. Now how would you recommend I proceed if I prefer having the QR code directly integrated within the HTML of each item, instead? So as to avoid fiddling around with relative positioning (and other unseemly tricks)…
Could part of the plugin code be written directly into my Events Rocket template?Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Event Rocket] Modified templates — update issuesAmazing! Thanks for your lighting-fast and detailed reply, Barry.
5 well-earned stars ??Thanks a lot for your help, Cais! Our website is back in order.
Long live NGG!Actually, sorry, I wrote too fast — I forgot to clear my browser cache after upgrading to the new beta.
On my side the problem actually occurs only within an inline <div> which pops out in a PrettyPhoto lightbox (generated by plugin Royal PrettyPhoto).
When slideshows are embedded within this lightbox, the Flash ones work fine in all languages, but the jQuery ones work neither in English nor in Chinese: either a static image is displayed — or else, all images of the series, one on top of the other…
So it would seem the remaining issue is now that of a jQuery conflict between the Royal PrettyPhoto plugin and NGG. Any thoughts on how to solve it?
Hi,
I get the same issue involving WMPL.
My slideshows work in both jQuery and Flash modes in English, but not at all in the other language (Chinese) — in the latter case, Flash slideshows load indefinitely, while jQuery slideshows only show the first image of the series.
I’ve tried using the latest beta, but it didn’t change anything…Now filing you a bug report just in case — but it would be great if you had any advice!
Cheers,

In reply to: [Royal PrettyPhoto] disable Google fontThanks for your advice, Johannes! Works perfectly.
Ah well, just updated the NextGen plugin, now everything is back to normal.
Would anyone have any idea how to solve this?
The webpage can be accessed here…Interesting thing is, the problem occurs under Firefox (latest version), but not on Safari or Chrome.

In reply to: Is this a jQuery conflict I see here?Hi Chip,
Thanks for the advice. I’ll see if I can work something out so that the issue doesn’t slyly ambush me again in the future.
Cheers,

In reply to: Is this a jQuery conflict I see here? Thanks to Zulfikar and Chip.
Actually I didn’t describe my problem accurately enough in my opening post — I was using PrettyPhoto, which is basically a plugin, but hard-coded into my template files (following this tutorial), i.e. not as a plugin downloaded from www.remarpro.com.
I tried all the methods you guys advised: deactivating all plugins then reactivating them one by one, replacing stuff in my seso.js file (non-conflict wrappers, etc.) but to no avail.
In the end, out of sheer despair, I simply installed the official PrettyPhoto plugin — while keeping the PrettyPhoto in my template files. Well, fellows, I’ll be darned if this didn’t just solve everything… Now the lightbox effect is back.
It’s one of these occasions in which I feel so powerless in dealing with the world of machines.
(since things are back in order, I don’t think I’ll dig into the topic much further… But just in case the conflicts reappears suddenly in the future, does this new info shade more light on the root of all evil?)

In reply to: Is this a jQuery conflict I see here?Hi Esmi,
Thanks for your reply, but as I wrote:I’m currently using a WordPress theme that I bought from a designer, who since then has disappeared and doesn’t reply any message regarding the theme.
The reason I still have those JS problems in my theme, after having used it for so long, is precisely because the designer ignores all my messages, and I’m no programmer! And each time I raise such an issue on this forum, people tell me that they can’t help me “because it’s a commercial theme”…
I really like this theme (see https://www.meridian-online.com), I’ve spent ages trying to make it work and look good, and I’m sure somebody with more knowledge of how WP and JS work can solve those issues in the blink of an eye. I just lack the time to learn everything Javascript these days…
Would you please have a suggestion of something I could try?
