I don’t find the features compare between WordPress plugins depository version and paying version ? Only paying versions here, we have no idea what is the difference between the normal version and the paying one : https://www.projectpanorama.com/#pricing

Ok I found out, a en_US.po-backup-abcdxxxxxx~ was there, 20 Mo
And the en_US.po was only 10 Mo

I deleted en_US.po and renamed the backup to en_US.po, now the strings are here

I deleted theretailer.pot I created

I declared en_US.po as the template, sync the FR translation, and Loco writes :
“Already up to date with en_US.po”

But the strings are still missing

What am I missing ?

Oh we cannot use this plugin to create genealogy, only import gedcom format, right ?

I have no gedcom format, just a .doc with all the names, so I cannot do anything with this ?

There is no .pot in the theme : The Retailer WordPress https://themeforest.net/item/the-retailer-responsive-wordpress-theme/4287447

In /wp-content/themes/theretailer/languages there is only en_US.mo and en_US.po

I contacted them and they dont want to fix it or do anything to make their theme working properly with WordPress …

So I clicked on “Create template” in Loco and this created theretailer.pot

I sync the FR

But the missing strings still do not appear ??

I will buy the plugin from Code Canyon

However I almost gave up, because :
– We always try free version of plugin before purchase, and reviews of this plugin are mostly negative here
– This page says : “Compatible up to: WP 4.2.12”, but actual WP is Version 4.7.2
– This page says : “No updates for 1 year”, we never download a plugin if we dont see “updated few months ago”

Sorry I cant help you, I dont know which others plugins were active
