Exactly the same problem here – and yes, unchecking & re-checking fixes it temporarily for me too.

I can’t believe that someone thought it was a good idea to release 2.5. It’s just *awful*.

The developers have confused “simple to look at” with “simple to use”. The pale colours make it difficult to quickly pick out different parts of the interface, certain key tasks take more clicks, I have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to edit categories, etc… clicking “Save” seems to randomly take me to a different page each time I click it.

I really wish I hadn’t “upgraded” and have started actively warning people away from WP, which is a real shame.

The other problem is that the preview of the permalink doesn’t change if you change other things like the category (my URLs have the category name in them).

I get that one randomly too.
