I have the same problem here and I think, the problem lies within the $cat=x, that overrides the in_category(x)..

Thanks.. ?? I knew the basics, but no offense what so ever taken. I just tried to pingback your site and it worked. I tried to pingback other WordPress 1.2 pages before and it didn’t work. Sucky deal. I guess it’s just one of those mysteries of the web..

Now, even if it might sound greedy, does someone know the solution for ping- and trackback? ??

Update: I can not send and Pingbacks and Trackbacks. I do receive them, though.
What do I do wrong? Or what does my webhost do wrong? Or what does WP do wrong?

I found the solutions and created some quick and very dirty hack/plugin for it.
You can download the plugin as zip and read what I impudently call the documentation.

Yeah, I got that far. Thing is, it still puts utf-8 characters in the <description /> and in <content:encoded />..

Uhm, thanks, being only able to run 1024*768, I didn’t really think of that, yet. I thought about putting the header area to a fixed width, but then the grey on the right side would get too obvious for my taste. Well, I’ll keep on messing around with it, anyway, so I’ll find some fix.

I use it sometimes, but there are two issues with the b2 settings:

1. Only one category can be chosen.
2. For those using the post title in the url, it doesn’t convert them at the post time, so the urls get a bit messed up.

So, if you’re not using the new permalink-structure and no multiple catgories, w.bloggar is fine.

Actually I want the category listing for each single post sorted.
For example, this post gets it right, (*en, Panorama) while this post doesnt. (Intern, *en)
This is due to the fact, that Intern has the category id 1, while *en is 2 and Panorama somewhere around 5 or so. And I really can’t find any way to get them sorted like in the menu, where they are sorted by name and not by category id.

Okay.. I sort of did it. I exportet everything, using PhpMyAdmin, ran some RegExes over the files to remove the ids of the posts, importet them into an empty wp-database, did some minor fixes and it works quite fine. Of course, the comments are gone this way, but usually the comments on my weblog only consists of “you suck” or “go home, fart” so this isn’t too bad..
