on your edit post page check the “author” box in the screen options. the screen options menu can be found with a little tab at the top right of the screen next to help.

once you have that checked you will have an “author” section down towards the bottom of the page. there you will be able to change the author to another user.

to confirm things before we go on, do you want all the pages to be like your home page now, with the footer inside the pink border?

are you by chance using multisite? multisite does not have the post via e-mail feature enabled. post via email is located on the settings > writing admin page for a regular wp install.

fyi… this features is planned for removal from core. kat hagan is working on a plugin which will replace the functionality of it. you can check out her posts on the subject.

about the plugin i noticed she wrote “supporting multisite is currently out of scope (though it may well work anyhow)”

multisite is the best way to do this unless you want to build your own version of multisite. it’s what multisite was made to do. what kind of limitations/overhead/unintended consequences are you running into?

that error 28 indicates a shortage of disk space . check into your hosting account.

there was a bug with wp multisite 3.4 that made it not possible to delete users.

what version are you running? if it’s not us p to date, try updating and try your deletes again.

in the template for your pages with a sidebar you now need to put the footer inside the insidewrap div. just grab the closing </div> tag for insidewrap and put it below the closing </div> of your footer.

on an inside blog page that i see aligns correctly, the “insidewrap” div is closed before the “footer” div begins.

on the home page, the “footer” div is completely inside the “insidewrap” div. the footer is not made to fit inside the “insidewrap” div.

to get all your wp.com followers moved over to following your new wp.org site you first have to install the jetpack plugin by wordpress.com. it is the “subscriptions” feature of jetpack that will allow your followers to be moved over and add the follow options to your new site. activate the subscriptions feature, then contact and request the wp.com support staff to transfer your followers over for you.

if you want, you can also redirect your old wp.com site to your new site by purchasing the “site redirect” item from the wordpress.com store. that will forward all traffic it gets to your new site.
