I created the theme myself, and it’s not too complex. What could be a reason for that behaviour?

Okay, I just got it to work. Maybe you should emphasize that, if you only use a regular Youtube link (i.e. no shortcode, no playlist), “https” has to be changed to “httpv” for it to work. At least that’s what I experienced.

(The description states: “The plugin picks up on normal YouTube links” and only later “alternatively you can…” – I interpreted the first part as “Just paste the normal YOutube link and it works”)

Appart from that, it seems to be a very useful plugin, thanks!

@t-p yes, I know I can upload the theme via FTP. Right now I don’t really need it – as I wrote, I am using my own custom themes in all cases.
But this behaviour shouldn’t happen anyway, should it?

Well, to be honest: I don’t understand everything that’s written in that ticket, but my localhost server environment is AMPPS 3.8, running Apache and PHP 5.6 (I know, outdated, but I need it to be compatible with a not-so-well-serviced performance server I have to work with).

So since in this ticket PHP7 .0.33 is mentioned, I suppose it’s not the same problem.

Still, it’s there…

I gave it some thought and unfortunately I have to admit that I don’t understand it fully:
I do understand this part:

You don’t create Gutenberg editor screens, the Gutenberg editor takes over the entire post (much like a page builder does).

But I am not sure about this:

We will be supporting our Metabox within the Gutenberg screen

By “Gutenberg screen” I suppose you mean the “Edit Post Page” with the Gutenberg user interface (?). But i really don’t know what you mean by “our Metabox within”.

May I ask which plugin was the cause? I have the same problem and haven’t found a solution yet…

I’d like to add that I am experiencing the same problem on a site I made. “WordPress address” and “Site address” are the same, I reset the permalinks and still – 404 error. Also my .htaccess file contains the following, as described in other posts about this problem:

But all that doesn’t help…

Note: The 404 error only is displayed when calling previews – regular links to posts and pages work as expected.
