In reply to: (Multilingual) secondary installation as Subdomain?Ahh… finally I found out, what caused the problem. I did everything right… EXEPT – I had to insert the correct URL into the WP-Settings dialogue ??
In my current setup the secondary WP automatically stripped the subdomain part of the URL and therefore always redirected the request to the primary WP.now it all works perfectly ??
Thanks for your helpForum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: (Multilingual) secondary installation as Subdomain?1) create en. subdomain – CHECK
2) install WP into en subdir – CHECK
3) type en. subdomain into browser – FAILI guess that the first request goes into the root dir (where the primary-language-WP is installed), no matter what subdomain is set, the .htaccess there is set to redirect all requests to the primary WP-Installation… only a shot in the dark….

In reply to: (Multilingual) secondary installation as Subdomain? That’s exactly what I tried… but it does not seem to work. I guess, the .htaccess of the root dir interferes with the installation in the subdir?!

In reply to: Changing the wordpress language after installing itChanging the language is quite easy. You can read the instructions to do so here.
In short here are the required steps.
1. get the .mo file of your desired language at the mo file repository.
2. Upload the file to the folder “/wp-content/languages” (if not existent, create one).
3. Open your wp-config.php file and edit the line: define(‘WPLANG’, ‘xx_XX’); (whereas xx_XX stands for your country code).
4. donebest regards, Mario

In reply to: blank page after publish or savingHi, I seem to have a similar problem. The output gets disrupted both in the admin panel and frontend. After re-installing some files in the wp-includes directory the output works for some time and then gets broken again :((

In reply to: Specific parent page causing 404 errorYou may try to change your Permalink structure to a standard value and then back to your custom permalinks… it worked for me ??

In reply to: Headspace2Richard,
all your files should all be at the subdirectory:
wp-content/plugins/headspace2.. browse to this dir with your ftp program and check, if that’s the case. sometimes the files get unpacked in yet another subdir and wp won’t find them there…
