In reply to: [Postie] posts miscategorizedI have done as you requested. I think it will be useful for you to understand the setup for the emailed posts. We have a tech support email address, let’s call it [email protected]. This is a forwarding email address and every email sent to it is forwarded to all addresses on a list. I wanted to capture these emails in a archive, so I created a normal email address, call it [email protected] and placed it on the list of forwarded addresses associated with [email protected]. Postie is set up to get the emails sent to [email protected] and create a post for each email. The default category is techsupport.
This works when I send an email to [email protected] (I am listed as the default poster and “Allow anyone to post via email” is set you yes). However, when someone else posts to [email protected] or someone replies to an email sent to [email protected], the email is gathered by Postie, but categorized as Uncategorized. This happens even when I respond to an email sent to [email protected]
I have the zip file of the log, but I don’t know how to attach a file to a message on the forum (particularly, this message). Or is there some other way of sending the file to you?

In reply to: [Postie] Maximum email sizeThat fixed the problem. Thanks.
Is there a short explanation why that worked?

In reply to: [Postie] Maximum email sizeHi Wayne. Thanks for your response.
There was nothing in the “Text for Message End” field and “Drop The Signature From Mail” was already set to Yes.
The email was truncated from 1.6 MB to 856KB. It originally had 24478 lines and the part forwarded only had 13425 lines, meaning 11053 lines were truncated. The original email had 1,565,701 characters, while the truncated post had 846,978 characters.
Might this possibly have something to do with the implementation of IMAP on either WordPress or the plugin. That is, might this limitation be built into the software?
When I switch to another Theme (Twenty Twenty One), each page shows a bunch of markup that I presume Enfold handles, but the other Theme does not. This suggests Enfold does take over the whole post editing screen. What exactly should I ask the Enfold developers about its configuration that would enable the PublishPress Capabilities features I want?
But, Steve, it doesn’t work, which was the whole point of my original post. Is this a bug? If so, how do I report it?
Thanks again from your reply. I want to understand correctly the abilities of PublishPress Capabilities before I contact the vendor for the Enfold Theme. You said in your previous post that “PublishPress Capabilities isn’t an option for blocking access to single pages.” I found this a bit confusing, since what I need is to block access to all pages that an Editor does not own (by turning off the Edit Others capability) and then change the owner of a single page to a user who is an editor, thereby bypassing the “Edit Others” restriction for this user. Since the Editor Role still has the “Edit” capabilities checked, I presumed this meant the Editor is able to edit pages that he/she owns.
But, it seems PublishPress Capabilities doesn’t support this configuration. In which case I am puzzled what the “Edit” capabilities control.
Thanks again for the reply. If Enfold does indeed block the “Permissions: Edit this Page” metabox, then the only other option seems to be the deselection of the “Edit others” and “Delete others” capabilities for Editors. However, you haven’t mentioned this option, which suggests it won’t work. Is this correct?
In regards to testing, I am testing as an Editor, because that is the role I am trying to control. The “edit this page” link shows up when I login as Administrator, but I am trying to control the editing capabilities of the Editor role, so testing as Administrator would not accomplish my objective.
Just in case it might help, I have taken a screenshot of the capabilities settings page. You can download it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/15buAITlMR9Z7Ual2bEaaG9aNBhJRQ39v/view?usp=sharing
Thanks for the Response. I followed the instructions on the page your referenced, but when I got to the point of “scrolling down and looking ‘for the box labelled, “Permissions: Edit this Page”.’, I could find no such box. For the record, I am using the Enfold Theme. Might that have something to do with this box not existing? Also, the “edit this page” link appears when I select “Edit Others” for the Editor role, but not when I deselect these capabilities (and the “Delete Others” capabilities) and login as the page owner (I have created a dummy account for testing purposes on our development site).
What we are looking for is a plugin that periodically scans the gallery of unlisted videos we create and automatically updates the page on our wordpress site that offers embedded videos to our users (access requires a password to the wordpress site). We are a congregation in Montana that records worship services for our shut-ins. We used to make these publicly available, but we started receiving harassing email about them, and so the leadership of the church decided to move to unlisted videos.
Each video has a link associated with it that could be used to publish the video, but that would mean manually adding it each week to the web site page. We are trying to avoid that manual labor and find a solution that is automatic.
Unfortunately, you would need a password to access the unlisted videos and I am not authorized to provide you with that information.

In reply to: [Dynamic User Directory] increase avatar sizeCorrection. The avatar picture is in the Media Library.
I’m the technical guy. What is desired is set by the person(s) who maintain(s) the calendar. It turns out he/they are now satisfied with the display. Thanks a lot for your help.

In reply to: “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” not workingYes, I can use a different email address. Thanks for letting me know of this problem with yahoo.
It appears this problem has to do with some interaction between the Enfold theme and the plugin. A new version of Enfold was released yesterday. When I updated the web site to it, the problem now seems solved. However, the events for the current day are only shown. I am not sure what the expected behavior of checking the box labeled – “Show all event titles next to the date” – should be. Should all events for all days be shown or only those events for the current day?
