What do you think is the purpose of the plugin ?WPML to MultilingualPress? (W2M)?

I’m asking this for two reasons: we had support topics in the past here that weren’t related to W2M at all and then, from your description I don’t know what you’re trying to achieve and how.

I try to get ahold of the PHP logs.

This would be really helpful.

I now know that the problem is related to with “Fusion Core” plugin of the popular “Avada” Theme by ThemeFusion. Who do I report the bug to?

What is about the native php error logs? (If you want to enable WP error logging, you’ll have to define WP_DEBUG_LOG and set the value to true.)

That one indicates an error on the server side. Can you show the PHP error log or set WP_DEBUG to true and show, how the response body looks like?

I have installed WP-control and I do not see any iac_schedule_send_chunks after a new post.

That would basically mean that there are actually 10 subscribers or less.

How do you know that that there are 70 subscribers?

downgrading to the last release (0.0.5) would be an option, yes. But I would like to figure out what’s going on here.

The one difference between 005 and 007 is, that 007 does not sent the emails in one big bulk any longer but split them into groups of 10 recipients and send one group every 3 minutes. We use the WordPress scheduled hook API for that. If you want to investigate whether this works correctly on your system, you can install the Plugin WP-Crontroll and look if Informer registered a scheduled hook to send the next group of mails (Menu: Tools → Cron Events). Look for iac_schedule_send_chunks right after a new post or comment was published. It should look like this:

do you remember when you updated the plugin to version 0.0.7? Did the plugin work after this update? I’m trying to figure out what could cause the reason.

Do you use any of the provided filter of the plugin?

How many subscribers do you have? (If possible, look up in the database in wp_usermeta table and count the entries where posts_subscription or comment_subscription is set to 1

Hi Paul,

Thorsten asked me to double-check this, but I also cannot reproduce the error here.

Tested with PHP 5.5, WP 4.5.2, MPL 2.4.2/3 and WP-Cli 0.23.1. Can you reproduce the error on a clean new WordPress installation with a default theme (Twenty*)?

Does anything (theme, drop-in, mu-plugin) in your setup maybe hook into the filter network_admin_plugin_action_links? (To test this, you could dump $GLOBALS[ 'wp_filter' ][ 'network_admin_plugin_action_links' ])

Not really. You should define explicitly a font with support for these characters in your stylesheet.

Thanks for the URL. I visited the site and some pages there but I didn’t found the place where the ?? are. E.g. the menu in the top left corner shows: 中文 ES IT PT FR EN DE

Is it maybe a problem with your Browser? Are all Chinese characters broken or only some of them?

they were part of the same company. However, can you investigate the HTTP-Response header if the Content-Type is set correct to text/html;charset=utf-8? What does actually stands in the HTML source code at the place you would expect 中文?

what is your blog_charset option? To find out, go to wp-admin/options.php and see what value is written in the field named ?blog_charset?. What theme do you use? Does the problem persists, if you activate a default theme (twenty fifteen) and deactivate all other plugins?
