Due to time constraints with the current support contract the client prioritised some other tasks so I won’t be able to test this out for a while. They downgraded this one because they saw no quality issues when we left PDF optimisation enabled so although it wasn’t what they wanted it’s not causing any harm.
Hi, I waited several months for a reply. You posted less than a week ago and I haven’t had time to test the plugin. I was aiming to do it on Monday afternoon but another project ran into a problem so I had to tackle that first. I should be able to give it a go tomorrow. I’ll post back with results.

ShortPixel asked for some more info so I’m posting same reply here for clarity:
If the “Optimise PDFs” tickbox is not ticked then when I upload a file to the Media Library I see ShortPixel does not activate (which is correct) but nothing else happens. WP Offload Media makes no attempt to upload the file to S3. There is no error. The file just sits in the uploads directory.
If I tick the “Optimise PDFs” tickbox then when I upload a file to the Media Library I see the ShortPixel droid animation at the top and when it finishes then WP Offload Media uploads the file to S3.
If I disable ShortPixel and upload a file then WP Offload Media begins the upload to S3 almost immediately.
