Any other suggestions for the site? How do I gain more traffic?

Hi all, I had the same newportalse problem, and I’ve deleted everything from my website https://www.blazingtruth.com and reinstalled a fresh copy of www.remarpro.com

I think I still have my content — that is, I can see all my old plugins and database files, but they are not appearing on the actual website. How would I go about fixing this? It seems like it would be a simple fix, yet with my lack of programming experience, this is all foreign to me.

@gabe, I’ve added a dofollow plugin so that should be taken care of. I’m looking to add a “Related Posts” section at the bottom of every Post to make linking easier.

Also, what do you think about the article length, in general? I’m averaging between 1200-1500 words. Some have suggested I cut it up into small blocks, with more frequent entries.

@gabe, thanks for the honest and extremely helpful suggestions.

1. I’ve found a guy to make me a custom header to “brand” my content and website. It should be in place within the next week.

2. I am still working on this, and am trying to figure out how to do that with WordPress controls, as I don’t have much programming experience to do it myself. Perhaps there’s a plugin..

3. This is a priority, will be done shortly.

5. Tried out commentluv, and am not entirely sure how to work it. I’ll put this on hold until all else is finished.

6. I do plan on monetizing it, as I spend lots of my time researching and writing and would very much like to be compensated for my time. What is the best way to go about doing this?

@gabe, I agree. Any suggestions for improvement?

I’m very partial to black backgrounds, so I love it. But others may prefer a black-on-white. I have no real suggestions, although it looks a bit busy and crowded. Try to stream-line it a bit if at all possible.

All in all, I like it.

I’ve done away with the boxed and dark layout, for a more user-friendly one. Form follows function, they say.

Is this better?

@gabe, would you be able to point me to an example, or several examples, of a website with a very well done header? I’m in need of ideas, and my header is definitely something I’ve been meaning to get around to.

@jon, I agree with everything you’ve said, and I’ll probably change the text color as a temporary fix, and I’m working to change the black text on the footer, as that’s something that irks me.

I’m definitely looking to avoid any confusion, and don’t want to get crazy with the color scheme, I’m trying to work my blacks/whites/red/grays in such a way that it looks nice and presentable, will keep you guys posted.
