I suspect there is a bug with your version of WordPress. I have added this to our bugs list and it should hopefully be corrected with the next plugin version.

Would you mind sharing the contents of your theme’s header.php file?

In the current version 1.0.1. it will display the first name and the first initial of the last name (assuming they enter “First Last” in the name field). It splits that name field up by spaces so below are some example of what could display…

User enters: Sally Seashore
Displays as: Sally S.

User enters: Mr. John Doe
Displays as: Mr. J.

User enters: Mary Ann Smith
Displays as: Mary A.

However, we will be adding your suggestion for allowing full anonymity on the front-end to our list of possible improvements in later versions. Thanks!

You just need to add a new sign-up sheet in the WordPress Admin that has a date in the future or no date at all. The sign_up_sheet shortcode will automatically hide anything with a date in the past.

By adding [sign_up_sheet] shortcode to any page or post it will turn that page/post into a sign-up sheet list which will display all your current sheets. If you haven’t created any yet, it will say there are none listed.

To add a new sheet, go into the “Sign-up Sheets” menu item in your WordPress Admin area and click “Add New Sheet.” Then enter the info for the sheet you would like to create with a date in the future or no date at all. Now, when you go to the page/post you created with the [sign_up_sheet] shortcode you should see all your current sheets.

mnmoose is right on. You can create a new post or page and then place the [sign_up_sheet] shortcode in the body of your new page. If you have any other trouble, please let us know.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. There is a bug when permalinks are set to “default”. Any of the other permalink settings should work, however. We will have this corrected and post a reply as soon as it’s ready.
