    That last <style> tag:

    In the PHP file for the plugin (which I just installed in my localhost copy of WP)) that tag is punctuated like this;

    </style>’;

    But in your code above that syntax is removed and WP throws an error!(Perhaps you just didn’t copy and paste it completely?).

    If put it back the plugin seems to work fine.

    (See, I don’t know much about PHP!)

    Thanks Dark Wolf

    I appreciate your fast response but I am on a promise not to edit PHP files (and as I noted above I’m also on a promise to proceed cautiously with CSS changes). Since I made that promise I don’t want to edit the PHP even for your plugin. By all means release a new version. However, I will try it out on my test site which have here on localhost but I can’t test on live site.

    Regards

    I am using a child theme.

    Whoa – that’s the quickest response ever!

    Just to add that for now I’ve deactivated Blue Admin so I can use your plugin. Blue Admin provides, for me, a very nice colour scheme on the WP-admin panel, one that my eyesight can tolerate and much better than the default schemes available.

    Your plugin was recommended to me by my system support. They don’t want me fiddling with style.css directly (!). Your plugin is very handy for testing individual items of CSS on the fly – then if they work I am allowed to edit style.css (! – go figure).

    Let me know if you get a fix fairly soon as I’d like to support your plugin, but admittedly when I get a mo’ I will look for something similar.

    Aha I think I found the problem – plodding through deactivating plugins and testing log out.

    Plugin called Block Bad Queries seems to be the culprit!

    Sorry – should’ve done that before posting. Thanks anyway.

    Further observations on this issue:

    I have turned off all my plugins and no obvious sign of interference. Using XTheme.

    (1) As in my first post, if search is on and pagination is on – I get pagination buttons even when there is only one hit;

    (2) If search is on and pagination off search works fine – search retrieves one item and pagination buttons are displayed if required;

    (3) Note that when search is off and pagination is on first page button stays highlighted even if I page the list – so if I click ‘2’, button ‘1’ remains bold.

    See the URL in previous page. Sticky List for that page is currently set to search on and pagination on. It searches on the Author last name.

    It’s still a good plugin but I can’t find any interference (yet). Also just discovered your sticky forms plugin which is also great.

    Thanks

    Great! This is sooo useful. Good work.

    I’m not quite sure how the ‘multiple settings entry’ works?

    Doh!

    Thanks Samantha – it’s a bit obscure but I found it. Screen option was on but my dashboard is a bit crowded and its a very small widget so it didn’t stand out very well. Also, being a bit new to WordPress, I did not expect it to be literally on the dashboard page.

    Thanks again.

    Yes i found this too. Sometime last week I found that changes to widget content was not being saved.

    Today I deactivated all plugins and reactivated one by one. Bingo! Reactivating this widget causes the widget problem. Deactivating it stopped the problem.

    Shame that the name begins with ‘W’ as I started checking plugins from the the top of my plugin list! ??

    Anyway – plugin now removed.

    Great support as usual – I can’t try this just now as the site is having some back-end maintenance but will do in the next few days.

    OK. That is a bit odd. Possibly interference from some other plugin/code?

    Here’s the page in question:

    https://mirandanet.ac.uk/knowledgehub/blogs/

    Additional features (if possible):

    1. Better control over column widths
    2. Better layout control. These’s a limit to how many columns can be placed on a page. Aligning columns into rows would be a useful feature.
    3. A method for adding categories to form entries would be useful too (thus making lists searchable by category)

    I’d pay a bit more for that (plus all the other features you list).

    Perhaps $25 is a bit steep for an annual, recurrent fee. I prefer a monthly payment and I think $1/month is fair.

    “…to be automatically populated with the categories…”

    Yes please. That would be useful and interesting o know how to do that.

    And yes, will write a review.
