In reply to: Nextgen Picture UploadingYou must reduce the size of your original photo below 2.0 MB if you use that built-in uploader. Better yet, use an FTP module (on your host’s website? That’s where mine is) to upload your JPEG files to the proper gallery name that you want (“galleryxx”) under wp-content\gallery\galleryxx. This is much preferable and faster, plus you can upload many photos (5 to 10) at once. Also use the FTP program to truly delete images in each gallery directory that you have deleted under Manage Gallery. Deleting the thumbnail may not actually delete the photo from the gallery. In that way they won’t reappear every time you scan for new images.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Blank Spaces in Slideshow Thumbnail DisplayFurther Info: I have 38 slideshows in Nextgen on a photo-blog, and all 38 have blank “holes” in the thumbnail display matrix. At this link is a typical example of what I mean. See the bottom of the page where the thumbnails are displayed.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] How to Show Images Full Screen (full Window]I found a solution. I wanted to show some galleries at a larger size; up to full window size. I added the ngg_ir_Width and ngg_ir_Height parameters to the pages showing those galleries and it worked just fine. Go to nextgen.boelinger.com/custom fields for details on setting these custom field parameters.

In reply to: IIS install: permalinks work, static home page does notHello Indextwo: It’s not much consolation, but I’m having exactly the same problem. I’ll keep watching this string to see if anyone has any suggestions. I’m sure that it is something simple, but when you are on a learning curve it is slow-going. Dave Harrington

In reply to: Simple Question on Gaining Access to Plugin Functions after InstallationI added a Template Tag wp_list_page () to the header portion of my template. That at least gave me a way to click to Gallery Pages from my home page. I would prefer to have a clickable photo thumbnail to get to each Gallery page, but this is a start until I figure out how to do that.
