we had similar issues on a client site @peoples_pundit. Are you by chance running any caching plugins? If so, deactivate them(it) and see if your metabox returns. Its an inconvenience to say the least. Issues with all the major caching plugins.

is there a reason the importer is reporting posts +1 imported.. blog as 2861 posts.. reported 2862? ( I can find this post if its a dup obviously) but just wondering> clearly nothing in this world is perfect but this plugin is such an improvement over the last WP edition.. thank you

thanks I’ll make that change.. it runs a while.. then stops a page refresh gets continue..(google throttle I suspect) then chugs a while and stops. I’m using a lightspeed server which shouldn’t have any affect but just for the record

@workshopshed thanks for the answers.. I’ve made no changes to the comments in either place.. I gave up on the local import.. again it just stalled and refused to go further.

I did a blank sandbox install on my hosted server yesterday evening, again it imported posts quickly (after a couple of button presses (says skipped 2851 posts on last press) total 2862 posts 11imported at last press.

comments 30k+ (still importin) skipped 901(?) that’s where the dups will show I guess (as in the past we’ll check at finish) total comments to import 365672. Gonna be a long day.

wordpress.com won’t have it.. I got a nasty gram from them. and the site is way too large for the conversion utility.

It does not duplicate all the comments.. just a select few and I see no rhyme or reason to it.. believe me I”ve looked..

google would throttle yes.. what would you suggest changing the max to? Any help would be appreciated.

and now I noticed all the drafts imported as published…<sigh> there must be a better way!

I too would like to move the box from the content area to below the post.. I’ve made some image changes and a few styling changes but I’d also like to change the # of posts to something a little more friendly like perhaps ‘read more posts by this author’..
would this be possible?

the site itself is a few months old.(from blogger where it existed for several years). there was a point where all of her posts/pages used an .html extension (don’t ask) google was still/is still cataloging those for what ever reason.. and 404’s without the line in htaccess..

yes.. any placement of that line borks the image editor within a post. going to the media center to edit works fine.. but if I want to edit an image after its placed in a post it goes to 404.. fresh wordpress 3.3.1, with no plugins active (yes I reset them).

all the winner listings within the admin section are duplicated up to 5 times

esmi it’s not wordpress files that cause the issue its a line in my htaccess that suddenly causing it.. redirecting all .html to .php ..I’ve opened a new thread.. here: new thread

because when the line is in htacess.. the image editor doesn’t work.. it redirects to the 404 page..without the line.. it works fine.. this has only occured since update to wordpress.
