In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] 0.9.2.8 increases time to first byteI’m curious. What caching method are we each using? I have APC on my site with a dedicated Linux server.
Before the December update (or sometime around recently), I had to play with minifcation order in manual mode. It’d seem like I would get it, but something with Firefox and W3TC was unreliable and it would seem like there was a caching problem with changes not being reflected (I completely disabled the browser’s caching with a plugin).
The best I could figure out was that the webfont CSS files had to be at the top of the minification, and one had to be over the other.
My two webfonts were a custom font from Icomoon and a font I created with FontSquirrel’s engine. Are you using either of those?
But until some bigger issues are resolved (like why 0.9.2.8 is actually slowing down my site), I have disabled the plugin.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] 0.9.2.8 increases time to first byteI wouldn’t have believed this, but I received killer performance from my website … when I turned off W3TC 0.9.2.8.
I was able to reproduce the same problem, simply by deactivating W3TC. With it on, my domain along could take up to 5 seconds to respond, and the minify local CSS and JS files (since uploading to CDN is broken) were even worse.
Just deactivating W3TC dropped my site load time from 6–10 seconds to 2–3 seconds. No caching at all (dedicated server).
Actually, I don’t think this is a 9.2.5–8 issue. I had this problem before the December 2012 update.
It seems very unreliable when webfonts would work or not. Even when I could verify that the font files were uploaded to the CDN and internal “CDN-ized” paths were still correct. There was just something that Firefox wouldn’t like about trying to load webfonts from my Cloud Files CDN.
This isn’t a new problem.
My workaround in 0.9.2.8 is to add the webfont CSS files to the minify exclusions so they remain local while everything else is minified and uploaded to CDN.

In reply to: [W3 Total Cache] 0.9.2.8 increases time to first byteI probably can’t help, but I would like to know which settings you were using.

In reply to: [Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Can't upload minify files to CDNThis was the first still-open thread I found on this, so I can avoid starting a new one.
Is manual minification the only way to make W3TC upload the minified CSS and JS files to my CDN (Cloud Files)?
Oddly, this seemed to go away when I updated again to “1.6.2,” which is really 1.6.3.

In reply to: [WP-Polls] [Plugin: WP-Polls] polls archive page not foundIt’s great that you figured it out. But can you share the answer with everyone else, too?

In reply to: [Amazon Link] [Plugin: Amazon Link] Random "No image available"Sill me. I apparently didn’t clear W3TC after I implemented Amazon Link’s cache. So I guess there wasn’t a problem after all!
But it’s also really helpful to know the request limits.
Thank you for your help!

In reply to: [Open Graph] Open Graph messes up PowerPressSounds good! I look forward to the next release!
Clicking “do not allow” doesn’t work for anyone other than admins, and it prevents usability of a site. On Multisites, anyone other than a super-admin doesn’t seem able to click “do not allow.”
And clicking “do not allow” annoyingly redirects to the settings page for Google Analytics for WordPress.
Horrible. HORRIBLE! This has prevented users of my multisite from posting until I and only I login to every single site and click “No thanks.”
There are better ways this should have been handled. Like standard ways that plugins post a notification in the dashboard.
I’m new to Stripe and this plugin and I was disappointed to see that it isn’t working on Gravity Forms 1.6.3.2.1 and WordPress 3.4.1.

In reply to: [Open Graph] Open Graph messes up PowerPressYes, this is still a problem with PowerPress 4.0.4 and Open Graph 1.4.
Here is a front-page excerpt and single-post screen shot showing the podcast player before Open Graph is activated:

And here is immediately after Open Graph is activated (and all caches cleared):

This doesn’t affect the front-page excerpt, only the single pages.
I tried completely deactivating my cache, but it didn’t fix the problem. The moment Open Graph is activated, it prevents the PowerPress player from loading.
