Yes indeed what you see is when the plugin post types (Movie, TvShow, Person) are enabled.

I agree that it would be convenient to have a way to search TMDb while using shortcodes. A Gutenberg block would be ideal for this and a reasonable addition.

I will look into this, but I can’t make any promises right now.

Rolling back will not have change any of your data. It will not have any negative effect on your site.

Ok so I saw now your message about reverting to a backup version. Don’t update to the new my movie database version until we figure out what the issue is. I will fix it and you can update it then. I got your email, will reply as soon as I have some new info.

1-) Roll back to the previous version of the plugin.
Download the 3.0.3 version by following steps of Option 1 below, and install it: https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/download-older-versions-of-wordpress-plugins/

2-) Can you give me your Server details?
Navigate to Tools-> Site Health, then click on the Info tab on the top and finally The Server tab on the bottom. Take a screenshot and email it to me. There is an email found in the My Movie Database settings.

In general there are many new features that can be added, but the limited time / resources force selecting some while leaving out others.

Just to make sure we understand each other:

Hiding the overview text does not refer to the overview tab (like the other sections to hide in this setting). It only hides the text description. In the case of persons, it’s the biography text.

Is it the whole tab you expect to be hidden or only the description text?

If you translate it and would like to share that would be great. I used Loco a lot in the past too, it’s a great plugin. Alternatively if you would like to do it on translate.www.remarpro.com that would be even better.

Once a translation is complete (90% there it is automatically available for all plugin users to use. But even if you don’t complete it there, you can always export the existing (incomplete) package and use it.

For the ?“Font color for the template content” I see you’re right on your website the template css overrides it. I will fix that in the next minor version which should be very soon since I want to add a credits section to the plugin settings for contributors of completed translation packages. The first one to be completed on translate.www.remarpro.com – Swedish ???? – just happened a few days ago!!

Looking at ex https://startrek.lu/Star-Trek-Der-Film/ I see that the tab ‘Cast’ is translated into ‘Besetzung’. Do you have a de-xx locale on the site? I am assuming you do and that happened when you updated the plugin without you translating it yourself, is this correct?

In other words it’s using the default plugin’s (partial) German translation (from plugins/my-movie-database/languages/my-movie-database-de.json)
