np, one last thing i would investiage is to make sure php5 is handling the apache. if not it can be written with the htacces, or webconfig (if iis)

i’d first try deleting the zip. possible its corrupt. then give it a go again.

that being said, home/xxx/public_html/wp-content/upgrade/…somewhere close to there is a temp folder. it needs to be empty as well.

Also, is there anychance your server is maxed for storage?

is it an oddity that the behavior is void from desktop browsers? thats what i found strangest, is that the menu will scroll with the backround.
