I get this error when searching for ‘search’ on the browser Seamonkey 1.0.5 and Firefox 2.0.0.1 but not on IE7 all on Windows XPSP2;

The problem seems to be an unescaped ampersand …

Now fixed in 2.0.6

I have upgraded to 2.0.6 (from 2.0.5) and now I no longer have the problems mentioned above. In other words, whatever they have incorporated this fix into 2.0.6 and it now works!

I am seeing a Internal Server Error 500 when I go to this page at present.

I have upgraded to 2.0.5 (from 2.0.4) and the above fix has still not been incorporated into the core as my error 404 page was not working after upgrade (I was just getting a server error). So I made the changes to functions.php as above and the problem was solved (again).
How can we ensure the fix is incorporated into the next release?

Did you do the step of changing the details of your blog under the options panel?

• Go to the Options panel.
• In the box for WordPress address (URI): change the address to the new location of your main WordPress core files. Example: https://example.com/wordpress/
• In the box for Blog address (URI): change the address to the new location of the index.php file in your root directory. Example: https://example.com/index.php
• Click Update Options.

I think you need to supply a little more information as your problem is not clear. Can you give some examples of what you are trying to do?

My updates are not working also now. An email is sent to admin, but no one else who has subscribed. This was a problem before I upgraded to 2.0.4 and continues with 2.0.4
I have given up using it, but I would come back if a cause and fix were found.

Read the codex link that I gave you, and you will see that you need to set your users to authors, then their writing will only appear when you (or someone who is at least an editor) approves it.

WordPress 2+ does things differently. If you set up a user to be an author then they will be able to write posts but will need an editor to publish them (i.e. approve them). Have a look at this;
