I just read something similar in another thread. For years, as I hated the visual editor so much and preferred to use the text editor, I have always set the visual editor setting to off as soon as I start a new site. I’d done that on this site. Up until the last update, that setting had no effect on Gutenberg and did not cause it to disappear. But now it does.

Thanks for getting back to me. We managed to figure it out. I am using S3 and CloudFront.

There was something (not included in the plugin instructions) that we had to set up on CloudFront to make this work consistently. I’ll update what the process was here later, in case anyone else wants to know.

That’s really funny given that I then, couldn’t find it. LOL.

As soon as I wrote this I discovered that the delete function is now at the top of the page.

Another thing is it possible to have some tags that can be put around content to prevent it being included in the voice rendition?

I agree with you @lonesomewalker. I am looking at Expression Engine. If you have any other ideas please let me know.

That is a great idea. I’ll ask Russell to include that in the next release.

Have you realised that your files might be cached? Clear you cache to restore your old files.

@hightechbranding – please post a URL of your site and we can look at it and Russell or I will look at it and tell you what is wrong.

I am not sure but it might be because Thrive keeps the content of posts and pages in a different WordPress table. This plugin would only expect to look in standard location for content and could not know where Thrive keeps its content.

It’s not a bug – it is just how it works. The free version has a lot in it, but is not as fully featured as the pro version which has many more functions and more granularity of control.

The free version assumes that you want the bar on the home page. It does not matter if you used a page as your homepage – the fact that is now, your page is used as a home page so the bar will show. I hope that helps.
