Hi Tracy,

A shared template is the way I should have done it but, unfortunately, my inexperience at the time didn’t know that an updated plug-in could send the whole system into tilt. I made a template for each blog post, so yes, there is a form on each individual blog post.

It looks like there’s no workaround, other than to go into each individual post, is there?

If I understand you correctly, you’re saying I need to go into each one of the 100 pages of my website and MANUALLY add in a new sign up form?

There is NO OTHER WAY around spending 20 hours of work manually inputting it????

Okay, sorry about the hijack – I didn’t realize that’s what I was doing.

I’m going to try to find someone with more tech knowledge to look at this. For me to start touching a php. file would be like sending in a gorilla to pick out fine china. It just doesn’t make sense. I’ll do my best to find someone and, again, I apologize.

Maybe I should try to take down my post on Github. I probably had no business going there… the road to chaos is paved to good intentions?

This is what I got from the error log on Safari on one page I was trying to edit where everything was frozen – visual editor as well as SEO. When I deactivated the plug in, everything worked (except for the SEO, which was deactivated). Reactivating it froze everything up again. I posted on Github. Is this the info you need or do I need to dig down further? (more below the coding)

I am sorry to say I had to uninstall the plug in. I was still getting about thirty messages a day for sign ups that had no email address attached, even after the newest update. I uninstalled it and then reinstalled the newer version just to be sure. There is simply something on your plug in that isn’t working with what I have installed. It might just be the Weaver II theme since I tested it by deactivating all the other plug ins.

Anyway, I am glad for all your other satisfied users and sorry for me. Out of all the plug ins I’ve researched in your category, yours was my favorite. Oh well…

Okay, I’ll try it again with the new updates. How will I know when it is ready? Will you send out an update through the WP panel or do I need to uninstall and reinstall the newer version?

This plug in is still giving me multiple sign ups for ’email’ with no email address. I don’t know, maybe there is a loop in it somewhere but it’s not working. Then, on the management page, I clicked on your link called “real page” under the voice ‘disable virtual management page’ in case you want to make your them happy. I got this message:

Alex, I disactivated and deleted the plug in and now I’m getting this message from WT3 Total cache:

Recently an error occurred while creating the CSS / JS minify cache: File “/hermes/bosweb25c/b1505/nf.vibrationalvoyage/public_html/divinelightvibrations.com/wp-content/plugins/sociable-30/sociable.css” doesn’t exist.

Do you know where the plug-in might have left some code hanging around that is causing the problem? I am not savvy with coding so any help you could offer is most appreciated!

Oh, I’m so sorry to hear this but I do thank you for your reply. Oh well, I’ll uninstall it and keep looking for the right plug in.

Okay, just in case there is someone out there who doesn’t have a clue (like me) and is about to make the same mistake I did – DON’T. I got it fixed after a very expensive trans-Atlantic phone call to my server. He was able to fix what I had done and then walked me through installing the right code to verify the site so that it could be listed on the Google search engine.

If you go into your control panel on your FTP server, there should be a voice that says ‘file manager’. This is NOT in your WordPress control panel, but, rather, your FTP server control panel. (That’s where I went wrong before).

In that, you should find a section called ‘file manager’. In there, you will find a button that says, ‘create new file’. It is there that you will cut and paste your Google html verifier HTML code. Click create. That was enough for mine to be verified.
