Disable Bloat

Hello @wrip
Thank you for creating this thread.
1. Disable WooCommerce Dashboard Setup Widget: you are right. It seems that during the work on the new plugin version, we overlooked the option and removed it by mistake. It will come back in the upcoming version. Stay tuned for updates.
2. Recommended shipping solutions metabox is appearing on Shipping configurations pages in WooCommerce and is primarily used for advertisement. Recommended payments plugins metabox is appearing on Payments configuration pages. If you don’t see these metaboxes, it is possible that you have disabled them using a different solution.
Look at the plugin docs to see an example screenshot: https://disablebloat.com/docs/disable-recommended-shipping-solutions-metabox/

In reply to: [Disable Bloat for WordPress & WooCommerce] Notice when Disabling WidgetsHello @svenms
Thank you for taking the time and reporting this.
This error is caused by the fact, that your WordPress installation is trying to use a widget that has been turned off.
Disable WooCommerce Widgets
feature uses native WordPress unregister_widget function. It means that if you use it, WordPress / WooCommerce doesn’t see the widgets anymore. In order to get rid of the PHP notice, please follow the steps below:
1. Switch off the option Disable WooCommerce Widgets
2. Go to the Appearance -> Widgets menu and delete all WooCommerce widgets from your site
3. Activate the Disable WooCommerce Widgets option again.Could you please tell me if this solution solves your issue?

Please paste your WooCommerce System Status Report.
I was unable to replicate this issue (Woo Status Widget not showing in the WordPress Dashboard), so it might be a bug related to your WP/Woo version. We will verify it as soon as you give us more info about your WordPress installation.
We are currently analyzing the possibility of disabling individual WooCommerce features. Stay tuned for updates, as we are planning a major plugin update this autumn.

Thank you for reporting this. Please, let me know: are you experiencing any more troubles except the error in your browser’s console?
Does the error impact any functionalities, eg. adding/deleting categories?

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to disable WooCommerce Admin and keep Analytics active. The Analytics functionality is based on WooCommerce Admin functions and they both require to be active simultaneously to work.
OR, maybe you are asking about the WooCommerce Status Widget in your Dashboard? https://i.imgur.com/iq4Imns.png
Please let me know if it is the case here.

In reply to: [Disable Bloat for WordPress & WooCommerce] Deprecation notices on PHP 8.1Now I think I know what might be causing this issue. It’s an edge case that only shows up if you are using dev versions of WooCommerce. It will be fixed in the upcoming update. Please stay tuned!

In reply to: [Disable Bloat for WordPress & WooCommerce] Deprecation notices on PHP 8.1Dear @helgatheviking
Could you please paste your System Report including the WooCommerce version?
I think that the way Woo team writes version number to the dev package might be the case here.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Disable Bloat for WordPress & WooCommerce] WordPress errorHi @edwinwerner
The error message says that one of the plugin files is missing. It is possible that an error occurred during the upload or update process and the files were not transferred correctly.
Could you please try to reinstall the plugin entirely? Preferably using manual FTP file upload, overwriting all of the files.
You can be sure that deactivating and uninstalling the plugin won’t erase the plugin settings.
Please let me know if this solution has helped you get rid of this error.
Since @moriort666 and @diegpl have not answered, I’m marking the topic as resolved for now. Feel free to post your response here or in the new thread.
Hello @moriort666 @diegpl
I was unable to replicate this issue in my test environment.
Neither in the browser’s javascript console nor in the requests, I’ve been unable to see a reference to
common.css.map
. Could you please attach a screenshot showing where do you get such an error message? Also, the problem might be related to some other plugin using the Freemius library. A lot of WordPress plugins use this library. And if some other plugin has it included in a lower version, then it will load a newer version from another, plugin, in this case – Disable Bloat.
Could you please:
1. Disable all plugins except Disable Bloat and WooCommerce
2. Change your theme to default WP/Woo theme (Twenty-something or Storefront)
3. See if the issue still persists. Also, could you please generate WooCommerce System Report (after activating your plugins and theme) and paste it into this thread? It would help us identify the problem.
