In reply to: [Event Organiser] Backend: 'Categories' and EO textdomainHi Stephen,
with regard to clarity from context you are right. However, in an early dev phase of my project I decided to control a set of content-specific frontend colors by means of WP stock CATEGORIES (… added to <BODY> via the body_class mechanism). In the backend, I let my customer assign these stock CATs – depending on the content – to pages, posts and – events. Hence, in the backend on edit.php I currently get two rows titled ‘Categories’ – the stock CATs and the EO CATs. In the (event-)cat filter dropdown (still on edit.php), however, You use the term ‘Event Categories’, right?
I could certainly modify the app design and create some custom tax for my purpose. Anyway, this is absolutely minor and the plugin is doing a great job. I was just curious how to tweak the EO CATs term and was surprised to find the above.
Cheers,

In reply to: [Cr3ativ RecentPosts Carousel] bug report… and the 1.0.5 CHANGELOG says “Updated to combine all 3 CSS files into one for quicker loading on CSS file.”.
In 1.0.6, however, you provide three *.css and the plugin breaks.
Would be great to see a 1.0.7 soon … ;o)

In reply to: [WP Store Locator] kick-off search on page load or before? Thanks for pointing me to that, Tijmen. I just added a shortcode parameter, made small code mods and voila: some
[wpsl location="Berlin, Deutschland"]
in my page/post spits out a list of stores right after page load. I’m happy :o)Great plugin, Tijmen!

In reply to: [Event Organiser] Time formatOoompf, silly me … switched to the correct time format in general settings and the EO time selector in the backend runs just fine. This plugin IS AWE-SOME, Stephen!! Was a bit confused ’cause the german WP backend looks like this: https://d10n.de/t/clipboard2.jpg ( >> first radio button actually keeps the 12h format, the third switches to 24h… )
Thanks!

In reply to: [Custom Field Suite] Hide the CFS menu for editors ?ok, ‘fresh install’ and ‘manage_options’ were the keywords! I explicitely assigned this cap to editors ’cause I actually need them to, well ‘manage options’ … ;o). After Yr reply I was able to successfully hide the CFS-menu via CSS. I’m happy and so is my customer.
Thanks for the prompt help. Awesome plugin !!

In reply to: [Tabify Edit Screen] Custom Field Suite (CFS) compat?Marko, that’s great news! To ‘garbage collect’ those boxes on the last tab might get a “go” from my customer… ;o) I’ll check out the new release anyway. Thanks for Yr super-fast response! Regarding Yr conversation w/ Matt: let’s hope that Matt finds some time to work on Yr suggestions. I’d love to see both plugins work hand in hand in the near future. Fingers crossed & best regards, Dirk

In reply to: [Event Organiser] EO in an AJAXed setupHi Stephen,
thanks for Your feedback! Instead of fiddling about a solution for hours your answer put me on the right track. I solved the issue this way: in my single-event template i now just read the venue’s longitude/latitude per eo_get_venue_lat() / eo_get_venue_lng() [“i just love this plugin… !”] along with the event’s/venue’s data. No eo-map, no eo-widgets. In that template I also initialize a separate GoogleMaps jQuery plugin with the lat/lng data, create a marker, load the template via AJAX and – voila! The plugin costs some extra 30k, but anyway. It works, it took me 1/2h and I’m happy! :o)
B.t.w: I like the new EO function reference on yr plugin site – nice and clean!
Thanks again and best regards,
Dirk
