    OMG!! I’m sorry! What the heck? I installed this thing last September but yikes! Now you’ve kind of got me reeeeeally nervous.

    And yup. I already tried the code you guys have suggested…in fact, that’s how I have it set up right now.

    I took out the header. Enjoy. ??

    Well Skipper…Thanks, but I tried that last option already and it changed nothing. The big blue text still shows up while the page is loading. As for your first option, I sort of need to keep that for search purposes. I simply want to make that whole title and line invisible.

    Tried changing to ffffff for white and display: none; and neither worked. Just for the heck if it, I also tried reducing the font size and doing that changed NOTHING. Don’t knock yourself out over this. I’ll just see if this other dude can look at it and fix it. I know i’m not the only one that’s had this exact same problem, it’s just that all of the fixes I’ve tried won’t work.

    Awww…you’re so nice. And I know it, too. I’m sure I’m doing something really stupid and wrong. You’ll look at it and fix it in about two seconds.

    Nope. That didn’t work. I have a guy who may be able to help me…I was just trying to get around paying anyone. I really need to learn how to do this stuff on my own — I hate being at the mercy of others. I appreciate your time and effort. Thanks for the page title help. ??

    Yay! You fixed the “About Me” issue! Thank you!

    And okay…I’ll try that last thing you mentioned. I’m a little bit nervous but I always copy and save the text anyway in case I have to restore it so I should be good to go. I may not get to it until a bit later bit we’ll see if it works.

    Thanks!!

    deepbevel, I lied. I fixed that last code that you gave me but I cannot even locate the other code you suggested to change to all white. Where in the world will I find that? I thought it’d be in the stylesheet page. I had another blog at one point and I used a WordPress theme. I was able to figure out any of the tweaking that needed to be done myself. This one is much harder for me for some reason. Maybe I’m just that much older…

    As for the double page title, yes…this is a custom template and it does indeed occur with any new page I create. It wasn’t initially a problem but seemed to crop up at some point, and I cannot even tell you what may have happened to prompt this.

    Here’s the page template:

    <?php get_header(); ?>
    <?php
    $lcmp_page_head = <<<TXT
    <div class=”contentLayout”>
    <div class=”sidebar1″>
    <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . ‘/sidebar1.php’); ?>
    </div>
    <div class=”content”>

    TXT;
    $lcmp_is_left = strpos($lcmp_page_head,”sidebar”);
    if($lcmp_is_left===FALSE){
    $lcmp_rightdefault = ‘default’;
    $lcmp_leftdefault = ‘notdefault’;
    }else{
    $lcmp_leftdefault = ‘default’;
    $lcmp_rightdefault = ‘notdefault’;
    }
    ?>
    <div class=”contentLayout”>
    <?php
    global $lcmp_sidebarloc;
    if($lcmp_sidebarloc == $lcmp_leftdefault || $lcmp_sidebarloc == ‘left’){ ?>
    <div class=”sidebar1″>
    <?php include (TEMPLATEPATH . ‘/sidebar1.php’); ?>
    </div>
    <?php } ?>
    <div class=”content”>

    I added
    #header h1 { display:none } to the style.css but it didn’t work so I’m assuming I didn’t do it right.

    And yes…changing the title to white would be awesome…except I have no idea where or how to change it. I’ve poured through the code and attempted to do so, but I haven’t been able to figure it out.

    As I mentioned, I’m familiar with html but this is completely foreign to me.

    Okay…I did what YouON suggested for the SEO, now does anyone have any suggestions for the site title and About Me page title issues?

    YouON, Are you talking this entire line in the header?

    <h1 id=”name-text” class=”logo-name”>
    /”><?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?></h1>

    I don’t want to remove that from the setting/general section because that will cause problems with search engines. I need the title/description to remain. I know there is a way of adding some coding to the end of the page php file that it supposed to remove it but it hasn’t work.

    The “About” page is not a post, it’s a page title. If I remove “about me” it removes all text from my navigation tab for that page. In other words, a tab is still there but it’s blank.
