OK I tried SIS and my PageSpeed score is now 3 (instead of 1), with the results again telling me to optimize the images. I give up. I see no other choice but to bulk compress my images offline, replace the current images in WordPress Media Library, and re-add them to each post. It’ll take forever but nothing else seems to work. Thanks.

Is the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin even needed? SIS has its own button to regenerate thumbnails.

Tried Hammy, but re-optimizing with EWWW led to no additional improvements. Very frustrating because my PageSpeed Insights score is a 1/100 for mobile and 12/100 for desktop.

I’m leery of using Simple Image Sizes and Regenerate Thumbnails, as I installed them but am afraid of messing something up given I have 200+ images. I’ll keep researching this because image optimization is clearly not my area of expertise.

Hi, I have the same problem as the original poster, but do not understand the response. Can you please elaborate? I’d have to manually re-size each of the 227 images I have in my Media Library? Thanks.

No I did not. I deleted it and re-added it, but it would be good to know if the watermark can be removed using the plugin itself. Thanks.

Thank you very much for the reply. My friend ended up consulting with someone who recommended she not use Multisite. She just installed WP on the add-on domain directly, and it appears to be all sorted out now. Thank you again.
