If you are referring to the sidebar, you can go to Appearance > Widgets and remove the widgets you do not need. At the moment I cannot see the Pages though.

First of all do NOT make changes to the theme’s code, please revert any change you made otherwise it will not work as intended. Also any change you make will be overwritten with the next update.

The CTA option in the customizer allows you to set a background image and assign a page, the only way to have only the image will be to assign it to a page with no content. If you do that and still get content, please try disabling temporarily your plugins, one of them might cause the problem.

You are currently using another theme but even with Kale there are no options to move the titles or use one featured image. To make these changes you will need to add custom code.
