I didn’t find any errors in the theme. However, I see that the page layout is broken in the template of the theme activated on your site. If you have made changes to the page templates, then you need to fix it. Update your theme to the current version.

Make sure that you have selected A static page in the Homepage Settings panel. Header Banner shows on the front-page only.

You don’t need to use Header Image. Instead, go to Customize > Front Page Sections >
Head Banner: upload Background Image

I checked the issue about the alignment of the Featured Image and the native gallery when the wide align set. I didn’t saw a bug. By the way update was released today so maybe this will fix. Let me know [email protected] if the bug have still.

The wide of the image gallery, with the wide width option, is bigger than the featured image, or what is the same,

I’ll check it and fix if necessary for next update. (very soons: 12-15 Apr)

Can I remove the featured image inside the post? I mean, I know I need the featured image to create the thumbnail on the main page, but I would prefer not to repeat the image inside the post.
