thanks for your effort, but there is still no placeholder (yes, I checked the “enable placeholder”). The form works, if I enable marketing cookies, and the form produces error messages if I don’t. But I can still enter stuff in the form.

It is currently configured the way you suggested, but I also tried some variations of your suggestions (i.e. from the dropdown list “default” vs. “reCaptcha”, and using the full URL “https://sibforms.com/forms/end-form/build/main.js” instead of your suggestion “forms/end-form/build/main.js”, but always the same result.

I have uploaded the HTML code in my dropbox, you should be able to access it. The result after embedding the code is displayed on this page.

When I disable “Consent per Service” under?Complianz -> Wizard -> Security & Consent?, the blocked iframe looks perfect. I would have expected, that this setting also affects the appearance of the “manage services” link (or whatever the link label is in English) in the cookie banner, but this is not the case (which is good, I want this link!).

Regarding the NID cookie: According to your own documentation (I don’t remenber exactly where I read this), complianz does not detect cookies in iframes, so I did not expect it to show up in the scan result. Meanwhile, I added the service “Google Ads Optimization” and the NID cookie manually and it shows up in the cookie policy. But even though I checked the “data is shared” for this service, in the cookie policy it says “no data shared”…

I have already tried that, but (at least in the German translation) the behavior is quite misleading. In the example you provided, the button label over the disabled iframe is very clear, because it states that you accept marketing cookies in order to move on.

In the German translation however, the button description is just “click on Agree to activate <whatever I enter under the name of the iframe>, and in addition there is a link to the cookie policy, and then the button with label “I agree”. Issues with that:

• I have entered a different name for the iframe in the complianz config: “Google Calendar and Marketing cookies” instead of “Google Calendar”, to make it clearer for the user what happens in case you agree. But for the visitor the writing is with strange dashes, i.e. “Google Calendar-and-Marketing-cookies”.
• When I click on the cookie policy link, the cookie policy shows under marketing section only other cookies (automatically detected cookies from google fonts and google recaptcha), but no cookies from google calendar. This is inconsistent for the user.

I have left this config for you in order to see what I mean, because I re-translated the German description into English for this thread…

Is there a way to overcome these issues? Unfortunately, I have no experience in CSS…

One minor thing though: the cookie policy is indeed updated after saving the cookie settings in complianz, but only regarding the cookie description. The first line of the policy where it says “last updated on <date>”, the date is NOT updated! That was confusing for me…

honestly, I’m a bit surprised about your answer…

I would like to keep the cookie policy as lean as possible.

Is my understanding correct, that the wordpress cookies are for admins/editors only? If so, then it should be safe to delete them from the cookie policy…

Why do you suggest to keep the wordpress cookies in general and delete the WP_DATA_USER_2 specifically?

And how can I re-create the cookie policy after I have done some changes to the cookies?

I can see the banner now with an incognito profile in Chrome, so you can close the case.

I still have no explanation for the other behavior, because I always tested the website with another profile than the one I was editing with in WordPress…

However, it still does not work with me:

1. I disabled in comlianz the option?“Respect Do Not Track settings in browsers”, then I deleted all cookies in the browser, and checked again -> banner still does not show up
2. Then I disabled the do not track option in my browser (in addition to step 1), deleted all cookies again, and checked again -> banner still does not show up
3. In addition, I then enabled third party cookies in my browser and deleted cookies again -> still same result

What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

thanks for the reply. You are absolutely correct, the mistake was on my side. Featured images are correctly displayed in posts, but not on pages.

You mentioned this can be fixed for the pages…can you tell me how? Can I do this for some, but not for all pages?
