    Hi,

Thanks, I will have a look at the translations…

But I still don’t understand the AMP message…What does AMP mean? And what buttons on the bottom of the page are you referring to? There are no buttons…

Thanks for the clarification. I understand now, but I don’t like it. I’m looking for a fast way to select especially shortly upcoming events. If I order events by event date, I have to scroll through various pages in the event list before I find the present date, and can move on from there. But I never know on which page it is before I find it. Moreover, if I edit an event from the list and then return to the list, I have to do the same procedure again…

Setting the publication date as event date does not make sense for future events, because they will not be visible before the event starts (they are planned, not published). Please don’t change anything with this!

The main problem is that QEM does not have a real series event functionality (like in any other calendar, where you can set recurring events every Nth day/week until an end date or number of occurrences). This missing functionality requires me to add a single event for each occurrence, which blows up the event list unneccessarily and makes the search cumbersome. If you want to add something to the development log, then it should be a real series functionality.

    Thanks anyway

ok, thanks, that article was helpful! But still (in order to avoid trashing and starting over again so often): is there a possibility to change the upper limit of 3 to a limit of e.g. 100 (perhaps a database entry somewhere)?

    Hi @silva8899 ,

I’m sorry but I still do not understand your problem. What legal notice are you referring to? I am using the free version of complianz and the cookie policy is the only legal document created by complianz. Is your problem related to a pro feature?

However, you can always create the documents yourself (use the complianz docs as a reference and translate them as you wish), and tell the wizard to use your own documents. I created my own data privacy declaration and impressum long before I installed the complianz plugin, and these kind of docs are usually stable, so there is no need to update them on a regular basis. Only if you have new functionality on your website, an update might be necessary.

This might not be what you want to hear, but my recommendation is: cancel the pro version (use only the free version), and create the docs yourself. There are lots of data privacy declarations out there you can use as inspiration…

Can you be more specific about what is missing? Maybe post a link to the support conversation?

I am using it and I can get the Cookie Policy in German informal (“Du”) or German formal (“Sie”) …

Note: I am NOT a member of the complianz team, just a user

    Hi @mohammedeisa

    thank you for your answer.

Unfortunately, splitting the DB is not an option, simply because of money. I’m working for a small non-profit organisation that is always short of money. My hosting contract only allows one DB (of course, other options are available but cost more). And I would have to stick with the free version of Duplicator.

So, please allow me to ask some more detailed questions:

    1. Is the option to exclude specific tables also available in the free version?
    2. In case of a restore, I need to restore only the affected instance and leave the other instance unaffected. Let’s say I have crashed my test site and want to restore it without affecting the live site, and I have a backup of the test site available with only the test instance’s tables included (with the method you proposed). Would it be possible to
      a) access the DB with phpMyadmin and manually erase all the test instance’s tables before doing the backup
      b) do the duplicator restore of the test instance WITHOUT cleaning the database beforehand

Would that work to leave the live instance unaffected? Or can you recommend another way to do it?

    Thank you so much!

ok, I have added the widget=true to the sidebar widget, but still no headlines on the event detail page (screenshot)

I will have a look into your other suggestions, sounds interesting…

    Thanks for investigating!

My theme uses 3 different layouts: the homepage (i.e. the start page), the standard template (the one with the sidebar) is used for posts and most pages, and the full width layout (one without sidebar) is occasionally used for some pages like impressum, data privacy declaration, etc.

I can select the layout for pages, but not for posts. All posts use the standard layout.

I have checked the widget code in all sidebars via wp-admin->appearance->widgets for posts, event detail page and pages in standard layout: it is always

    [qem posts=’4′]

Screenshot for standard layout, screenshot for event detail page

    ok, understood, and works!

404s are gone, but the event detail page showing up should be the standard page with the standard sidebar, right? It is somewhat strange in my case, because the event list in the sidebar does not show any event titles. Do you have an explanation for that?

    Thanks so far

    Hi @alanfuller ,

thanks for the fast reply! I’m not sure if I understand correctly:

Do you mean the permalinks in the event editor? It has a fixed structure of <mydomain>/event/<eventname> and I can only edit the eventname in the permalink, the “/event” is fixed…

Or do you mean the permalink setting in wp-admin under settings->permalinks? This is set to <mydomain>/<postname>. Do you really suggest to change this to <mydomain>/event/<postname>? Then it would apply to all my posts and pages, not only to the ones I want to use for the event manager…

    Sorry, I’m confused.

    Hi @jarnovos,

I always test with incognito windows (i.e. not logged in users), and I always delete all browser data before starting the tests. But after your request, I did the test again and I do indeed get different results between a fresh profile with DNT (form blocked) and a profile I used earlier with DNT and all browser data deleted (form not blocked). I do not understand the difference, since both are incognito browser windows with the same settings … can you help me understand the difference?

    Thanks

    Hi @jarnovos and @daniub ,

the shortcode wrapper around the form produced the best results so far, and this is the only way to reliably block recaptcha in the brevo form before consent. I have some issues with the wrapper as well, but I will open separate threads for this. Thanks so far!

    Hi @vupdraft ,

thank you for your answer, but it seems contradictory to me:

You said “only one of your sites tables are being backed up at the moment”. That’s fine! According to my understanding, with the other site’s UpdraftPlus plugin installation the other site’s tables are being backed up then, and the two site’s backups are completely independant! True?

But why should I need Premium then? If my backups contain only the tables for one site, then I don’t need to select specific tables for my restore, so I could just restore all tables…

Or did I misunderstand you completely?

    (@dillhausen)

    Hi @jarnovos ,

I’m sorry but you missed the point. Google recaptcha is currently blocked BECAUSE of the custom integration, but the form does not work any more (most likely because recaptcha is being blocked). So it cannot stay as it is.

You can try for yourself: enter an email address, set the checkmark and click “Anmelden”. You will see an error message. Do the same after you accept marketing cookies: the recaptcha logo appears and the form works. (I promise to delete any email you enter from the contact list, but it’s double opt in anyway, so it should not be added anywhere…)

But the consent shortcode wrapper you suggested is an interesting option, although from the article I did not completely understand what i need to do. Is the wrapping an alternative to the integration in the scriptcenter or something in addition to the scriptcenter? In the latter case: what do i need to enter in the scriptcenter (because the article only deals with the wrapping)?

    Thanks
