In reply to: Images upload fine but are broken and wont displayWhen you look at the image permissions on the server, are they part of the same group?
I just have one client at the moment that has events and since he drank the EventBrite kool-aid, I can’t get him away from it.
@rtd2 I was never able to get it to work. I ended up letting EventBrite handle the registration and ticket process and just embedded the EventBrite code into the page.

In reply to: failed to upload due to an error Unable to create directory..?This is not a WordPress issue. It is a permissions issue with your web server. Check to make sure the directory has write permissions. If you are unfamiliar with how to do this, contact your hosting company and they can help you.

In reply to: Database Connection IssueI think I know what the issue is. I am trying to connect my development site to my production database. The WP site is a multi site installation and the primary blog names don’t match between production and development.
I think the error is coming from WP not being able to find the development primary blog. I am running some tests to see if this is true. If it is, I will close this post.

In reply to: Can I install a second version of a WP siteYour best option would be to install mamp if you are on mac or wamp if you are on a windows based machine locally. Then install wordpress. This will essentially turn your local machine into a development machine. Once you are done with the theme edits, upload them to your production site.
