In reply to: [IgnitionDeck Crowdfunding Platform] Total messHey @pixelgeek – There are a lot of variables when it comes to WordPress websites that go beyond just the version of WP and what plugins you do (or don’t) have installed, there’s hosting platforms, whether it’s on the cloud or hosted locally. Lots of stuff under the hood to consider. IgnitionDeck works well for our customers.
Again, the offer still stands. I’d love to help you out if you’d give us a chance.

In reply to: [Redirection] Redirecting Old Site URL to New Site URLThanks, John. It’s definitely your Redirection plugin. =)
That said, I was able to resolve nearly all of the redirect issues. I went with ‘URL Only’ and now oldsite.com/some-path is now going to newsite.com/some-path. Yay and derp! =)
But now oldsite.com/ is not redirecting to newsite.com/new-path.
oldsite.com/ just redirects to newsite.com/
Configured like so: https://s3-us-west-1.amazonaws.com/digisavvycdn/Redirection__Huntington_Hospital__WordPress_2020-10-02_16-24-15.jpgForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Redirection] Redirecting Old Site URL to New Site URLThanks for the lightning fast reply, John.
As noted above, we added an A record to point oldsite.com to the new site. So that should take care of routing requests. Correct? DNS has propagated.
Based on your article, I think Solution 2 seems viable. I did setup a site alias with the old domain. I’m spot checking some of these redirects and they still fail. Do the redirects need to be configured differently from Server and URL?

Hey Manuel,
I know you won’t have an exact answer but is this something you feel like you would implement in the next few months? Definitely a think I’d be willing to pay for.Big thanks!

In reply to: [Redirection] Redirects Configured with Match URL and Server Not WorkingI just reimported the redirects but without the domain portion of the URL and they are all working now.
