In reply to: [Copyright Proof] Not up to dateHi Tasha,
We corrected the issue giving the error message about TLS, the change has been published as version 4.16, also up-to-date with latest WP and AMP.
Please let us know outcome if you get a chance to test on your website.

In reply to: [Copyright Proof] Not up to dateTasha,
This issue is related to the SSL certificate on a API endpoint. While we fix this problem you can continue to work without issue. Go to Settings / Certifying Content and unset “Use Secure Protocol”
This should immediately solve your problem. We’ll include a more permanent fix in the next release.

In reply to: [Copyright Proof] Not up to dateHi Tasha,
Apologies for delay in replying and thanks for letting us know of these issues.
The current version of Copyright Proof (4.15) has actually been tested successfully up to WordPress 5.8.2 although this is not mentioned in the metadata. So this is unlikely to be the source of the issue you were experiencing with communication. The error message indicates that tls1.2 (a flavour of https) is not available, normally it would default back to another protocol. We will investigate and advise.
We don’t seem to have a record of your message via the members’ area. Did you receive the automated acknowlegement

In reply to: [Copyright Proof] It does not work. Generates error from the beginning.Hi,
We haven’t received the information we requested. This appears to be an error with your WordPress installation or another plugin. No other user of ours has reported such a problem, and without answers to our questions we cannot help.
So I’m closing this report. You may re-open if required.

In reply to: [Copyright Proof] It does not work. Generates error from the beginning.Hi there
We have not been able to replicate this issue. Can you help by providing this information
Which web-site is it?
Which version of CopyrightProof is installed?
Which version of WordPress is installed?
What further information is provided in your administrator’s inbox?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Copyright Proof] AMPHi Tasha, thank you for the complements (blush). If you would like to leave a Review that would be appreciated.
One final thing to check:
On AMP pages, our plugin uses css user-select to prevent users selecting content. On the “Can I Use This” website https://caniuse.com it says that Chrome for Android supports this setting from Chrome 87 onwards. You could check to see what version of Chrome you have on that phone.Re plugin updates, there is a version 4.14 on the way but it doesn’t have anything that would help you.
Good point about images. We do have something good in the works in relation to protecting images probably a couple of months away…

In reply to: [Copyright Proof] AMPTasha,
A further update: we tested with the latest version (2.0.10) of the “official” AMP plugin and it worked. This included testing with copy-protection on and off, with desktop and tablet.
Let us know if you are still encountering issues.

In reply to: [Copyright Proof] AMPHi Tasha,
We did some further checks on the plugin and it seemed to work OK. This included using a tablet to access the page you pointed us to. Is it an AMP page? It seemed to behave like a non-AMP page. There was a slight delay after a page appears before the protection kicks in, otherwise it worked.

In reply to: [Copyright Proof] AMPHi Tasha,
Yes you have summarised the situation well.
Important: Have you checked that your mobile device(s) are not logged into WordPress (in which case the copy-protect function will not operate)?
We will look into it a bit further to see if there are ways to make the mobile environment more resistant to content-copy.
Do please take note and remember that when you publish something on the internet, it becomes available to a determined / tech-savvy hacker and no plugin can change that. We make this clear in the “Important Note” shown in the CopyrightProof settings / Copy-Protect tab:
Selecting this option will prevent a user without edit privileges from right-clicking on your web-page (in order to view the source), selecting content (in order to copy to clipboard), or pressing CTRL/U (to view the source) in most browsers. This may prevent the unauthorised use of your content by unsophisticated users, but will be a small nuisance to a determined content thief. This is as good as it gets on the web – DO NOT BELIEVE the claims of some other plugin authors that your content cannot be stolen…
When testing please note that this restriction will not operate on logged-in users with edit privileges.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Copyright Proof] AMPHi Tasha,
Thanks for this useful feedback and for being a loyal user. AMP is difficult for us because AMP-compliance means not using Javascript. As we explain in our FAQ:
“= Note on Support for AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) =
Tested only with the AMP plugin by Automattic. Note the copy-protect function is limited to preventing user selection due to AMP guidelines on limiting/eliminating Javascript.”
Which AMP plugin do you use (and at what release) for displaying your amp pages? Before next release we will review what may be possible in this area

In reply to: [Copyright Proof] Option to check box disappearedTo all users: As mentioned in the plugin documentation and release notes, Copyright Proof has not been fully tested with WP 5.6 and the above-mentioned problem is related with that. Until we complete the testing and making-compatible, please consider the following workarounds:
– Use Classic Editor to Update and Digiprove pages and posts that have been edited with the Block Editor
– Use Bulk-DigiprovingThanks & regards
Cian

In reply to: [Copyright Proof] Option to check box disappearedHi Stephanie,
We will investigate this. Please tell us:
– what release of WordPress you are using?
– Have you recently changed the environment (e.g. a new theme)
– Are you using the Classic Editor, the Block Editor, or a “Builder” plugin (like Divi)Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Copyright Proof] images are not showing protectedHi Tasha,
You should be receiving a confirmation message like “Digiprove certificate id: Pnnnnnnn – Evidence of content has been created (all html and 10/19 selected media files)” when you Digiprove a post that contains images.
To sort this out we need some further information as requested below. IMPORTANT: If you want to keep it private, send your response by email to [email protected].
– your Digiprove id
– your website url
– Screenshots of the Basic, Advanced, and Certifying Content tabs of the CopyrightProof plugin settingsForum: Plugins
In reply to: [Copyright Proof] right click copyright has stopped workingHi Osama,
We tested on your website with Firefox and Chrome , it seems to work OK, we are seeing the alert
????.. ??? ??????? ??? ????I noticed your website was slow to load for some reason. There can be a very small time window before the copyright protection kicks in, but this is normally too fast to be noticeable.
Is it possible that you are testing this while logged in on WordPress?
