Now noticing that brand new installs on 2.8.4 or 2.8.5 are not working either. The navt screen button and links do nothing when clicked. This occurs on a client site at godaddy and asmallorange as well, even though we seem to have NAVT working on our own server…

Deleting plugin and reinstalling solved issue…. simply uploading the plugin again without deleting did not work at first….

Gotcha, thanks for the update. Videobox seems to do the trick, but autostart is an issue….

Thanks for the heads up on that. weak. I don’t mind paying, but I’m not going to beg for a price.

Again, just trying to provide user feedback that might help in some way. Instead of being patronizing, just tell us if you would prefer us to not give such feedback. ??

This is what I see when I upgrade, this is specifically from one our MU installs, so maybe there is a MU conflict… also please note that this is prior to DB component of the upgrade and all settings have been completely erased.

I personally found the upgrade confusing, I can confirm that in fact my user settings were reset when I upgraded and the plugin turned itself off even after upgrading db as advised by the plugin. Generally speaking, I think that turning off the plugin on upgrade would generally be considered bad practice, especially without a warning that it is doing so. Maybe there is a reason for doing so that I’m not getting.

I have never had a plugin ask to upgrade the db, so it is, from my experience, out of the ordinary…..

I agree with thebuckmaker, extremely dangerous to have your aioseo settings get erased when you upgrade. Many folks will not notice these changes as they are unprecedented and there is no warning. Also unprecedented to have the “plugin status: abled / enabled” setting….again, with no warning. Not sure how this is useful to the end user as the WP norm is to simply enable or disable plugins as a whole. These changes are going to get a lot of folks upset and with good reason. Also odd with this upgrade are the ominous upgrade database warnings … kind of scary.

Disregard, had plugin installed in both mu plugins and plugins folder on mu install… my apologies.

Hmmm. I like that but that is a directory…. I’m just looking to insert specific pre defined tags through out a theme. These tags can then display info as it is entered in dashboard…

<?php plugin-name(phone-number); ?> is placed into theme wherever the phone number is to be displayed.

Phone number is entered into dashboard admin page and can be changed at will through dashboard….. so that user never has to edit phone number directly in the theme itself…

I haven’t changed anything, but am no longer having issues now that I’ve updated to trunk of MU… haven’t tried it on standard WP …

They stopped communicating on original thread and closed comments…. no clue. Don’t mind waiting, but being upfront about timeline would be a welcome approach. ??

Yep, comments not working for me either… likely fixed with official release….
