In reply to: [Custom Post Template] Update Planned? As it’s been 2 years since it was updated it looks like it’s been abandoned.
I wonder if instead we could find someone else to take up its development?

In reply to: Create a highlighted text box in a post?Vivek Hutheesing, sorry I’ve just come across your response whilst posting another query.
Thanks for your comments and my head is okay thanks ??
I did take Cyril’s advice but he cautioned it might not work because of my template. Which I guess is what happened.
I’m not sure if you are looking for the answer to my query too?
I figured out a work around, which whilst no where near as elegant does work. I created a text box in Microsoft Word, pasted text in to it. Copied and pasted the box in to MS Paint and created a jpeg.
It is not a beautiful solution but when needs must it does work.
See an example below where ‘Fast Facts’ is my work around……

CampaignMonitor doesn’t integrate with WordPress.
I am so surprised that no one has developed an easy to use WordPress Newsletter plugin.
I have found a couple of bad ones I should add.
MailPoet only functions with WordPress to create sign up forms, not newsletters which I find strange as newsletters is surely its raison d’être.
MailPoet whilst the easiest and most beautiful option has difficulty dealing with WordPress images.
In the absence of anything else that works I guess I will go down the awkward route of CampaignMonitor.
I don’t think there are other options but if I’m wrong please tell me.
Thanks for your response Danny.
MailChimp just seems to be a form generating plugin. I really cannot see how it is possible to generate a newsletter using it.
I love the look, feel and ease of use of MailPoet but unfortunately it takes the images directly from my articles, which is a problem because they’re too big to get through email systems.
I’ll check out CampaignMonitor.
Thanks for the feedback and for the recommendations.

In reply to: Users can't logon error 503 Service Temporarily UnavailableI have spoke to 1and1 and they have confirmed the issue is their fault.
There is a problem with their servers and WordPress. They are working to resolve it right now but they wouldn’t confirm when it will be resolved.
They will send me an email when it has been fixed.
I’ll report here as soon as they do for the sake of others experiencing the same issue.

In reply to: Users can't logon error 503 Service Temporarily UnavailableTara, thanks. Very good suggestion and I will try it.

In reply to: Users can't logon error 503 Service Temporarily UnavailableNo Tara it isn’t my IP but a quick check on Google reveals it to be a 1and1 IP.
So I guess ultimately it is related to my site.
Is there anything else that springs to mind with you?
I’m not great with website design/HTML etc but although I never worked in the sector I did study and qualify as a PC engineer, and I know the process, like with medicine, is similar, you eliminate what it is not to diagnose what it is.
Also what adds greatly to the complication with WordPress is Plugins that might now work well together.
It could do some of those that causing my issues.
Many many thanks for taking the time and effort to assist.
