Yes it is much faster now.

I reviewed then changed my hosting package, moved to maxCDN and uninstalled several Plugins that were causing drag and conflict.

Net result is it is BadgeOs is much faster.

Anyone any suggestions for how to resolve this?

I’ve turned off W3 Total Cache which has resulted in my site working again but taking 5 seconds longer on average to load.

Any help would be appreciated.

I found out it was the W3 Total Cache plugin that was blocking my content.

No Jan Dembowski. I didn’t know there were issues to Troubleshoot or that it worked for anyone.

I’ve found others posting that they have issues with it but I haven’t noticed anyone who uses it stating it works.

No you are wrong there. ‘They’ did remove the paste from Word radio button.

You could always paste from Word before 3.9 but you would be silly to do so because it would be all messed up.

Now all they’ve done in 3.9 is remove the paste from Word radio button and instructed everyone to paste directly from Word and guess what? It’s all messed up, it doesn’t work.

I’m incredulous that they’ve removed paste from word radio button.

The Moderators keep insisting it isn’t required and you paste straight from Word to WordPress since 3.9.

It is nonsense because it doesn’t work.

I can’t believe they didn’t test such an important feature before bringing it in.

I have spent all day reviewing text editors because I can’t get my posts to appear properly.

They need to roll this back ASAP!!!

I spent around 2 hours trying to format it properly so that i have proper paragraphs but WordPress chooses when I can and when i can’t have paragraphs. I can hit return as many times as I want and sometimes I get a space between paragraphs, sometimes I don’t.

@esmi if you paste from Word directly in to WordPress it messes up all the formatting.

Until this latest update it worked brilliantly.

Now I’m having to paste articles in to Notepad, in the process losing all my formatting and then having to add it again with WordPress’ awful formatting options.

It now takes a lot longer to publish and the result doesn’t look anywhere near as good.

i am wondering if anyone has found a way to circumvent this? Is there a plugin perhaps or a way to make WordPress formatting to work more like Microsoft Word?

I don’t know what the designers of WordPress were thinking of when they removed compatibility with Microsoft Word but I’ve had a nightmare day attempting to circumvent their actions.

You can’t just paste from Word it doesn’t work.

I’ve tried Windows Live Writer but it’s pants too. It has no instruction and it has a forum that is read only, you cannot contribute to it.

I’m wondering if I can move my website to another platform maybe Blogger or something else?

Yes I can paste from Word but the result is not pretty.

It is surrounding the text in some sort of box formatting (you can see thin lines in the WordPress post editor)

The image I pasted was the result after uploading the featured image.

If WordPress’ text editor wasn’t so bad I’d use that but it is awful to use.

Thanks for your response and I understand your point, but there just has to be a group of WordPress users that want more. I’m certain of this.

Economics dictate that you cannot provide a high level of updates and support for a one off payment of ￡30 or US $50.

It’s the price of a half decent bottle of Whisky.

It should at least be an annual payment to continue receiving updates and support or perhaps a monthly equivalent.

If I was able to get a good level of service and support and theme development then ￡20 would be very good value in my view.

You pizza or burger takeaway places here in the UK that compete with each other to sell the cheapest Burger & Chips, or Pizza that are of god awful quality, none of them really make any money.

Then you get other places that focus on quality and charge more and make loads.

This is what theme designers should be doing. Focus on quality and on the service they offer. Don’t go for bargain basement prices that just don’t work.
