In reply to: Slow website: URLs don’t fit in a single packetThank you @kidsguide and @sterndata, I am examining or have adopted some of your suggestions already.
I have upgraded my Siteground package to Cloud on a dedicated server.
EWWW Image Optimizer is running now. I’ll look at Caching options next.
Many thanks to you both for your kind assistance.
I don’t know what you use forms for Msheldon but Jetpack comes with Contact forms.
We are implementing them instad of Ninja forms.
It should be more reliable than Ninja forms.
Ninja are aware of the problem but have done nothing to fix it and won’t respond to anyone who raises it as an issue.
Hi Tobias,
Yoast have found a fault with their Local SEO plugin. Turning this off has resolved the issue on my website.
I don’t even need the Local plugin, it was bundled together with other Yoast plugins so turning it off is a no-brainer for me.
This is the weirdest plugin clash I’ve ever come across on WordPress.
Thank you so much for your assistance which is very much appreciated.
Hi Tobias.
Thanks for your response.
Unfortunately increasing memory to 1024M didn’t resolve the problem.
I tried your second suggestion but it immediately crashed my site and it was down for two hours. I think it was because I only pasted the characters contained within the brackets when I assume you intended for all of the string of characters to be copied?
I meant populating widgets with content be it forms, posts, tweets etc.
I have stopped using this plugin however in favour of Custom Sidebars Pro.

In reply to: [Black Studio TinyMCE Widget] All widget data lost when plugin deactivatedlooking through past support items I found the following:
If you have a backup of your database you should be able to recover the old widgets from there. All BSTW data is stored in serialized format inside a record in the wp_options table having option_name = ‘widget_black-studio-tinymce’. Data storage is handled by WordPress and not directly by the plugin itself. The widgets data is intentionally kept in the datatbase upon plugin deactivation / deletion to avoid content loss.
I can’t find the ‘wp_options table’ in my backup. Can you provide guidance on where it is stored and how to restore it please?

In reply to: WordPress and Forums from bbPress disappearThe link to the bbPress support posting is:
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-forums-have-disappeared-after-deactivating-plugins/#post-155715My website is https://www.whichinvest.com
Unfortunately I cannot get a response from bbPress ‘Support’ for what is an existential threat to my websites continuing success.
I think bbPress is financially under resourced because they do have some fantastic people there who volunteer to support and develop the software. I just wish they would ask the community for some cash to pay for some of that development.

In reply to: WordPress and Forums from bbPress disappearThanks James, I posted on the bbPress forums first but there has been no response there.
I posted here because I’m getting emails from website members asking if we’re closing down.
I signed up to bbPress because it’s under the auspices of WordPress but I’ve regretted it so many times because it brakes so easily and it’s plugins are sub par.
Unfortunately it’s not easy to move away from and I’ll most likely loose all the forum data there when I do move away.
I accept I certainly didn’t undertake enough research before settling upon bbPress but I just need to get through this crisis before dealing with the long term challenge of migrating from bbPress.
