Have deleted mm plugin and now when i go to the dashboard i get ‘Database Upgrade Required’. Is it safe to do this given that there are two sets of tables now?Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Everything has goneI been to mysql server and there are now two sets of tables the original tables and a new set, i think created by my mistake with the wp-config.php. Whwn I click the options part more information appears similar to that in the sidebar but with a lot of other data but i can not see the urls you are asking for. (See Screen shot at https://www.sannyasnews.org/Picture2.png)
I have not yet tried deleting the maintenance mode plugin.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Everything has gonewhen I try to get to the admin panel the URL changes to https://www.sannyasnews.org/latest/wp-admin/upgrade.php?_wp_http_referer=%2Flatest%2Fwp-admin%2F
and then I get the maintenance mode screen.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Everything has goneThankyou, I did overwrite the wp-config.php file with an amended version of the original that came with 2.6 to add in the three secret keys. Seems I left out some vital info further down. Apart from the three keys I have now uploaded a file that is identical to my 2.51 wp-config.php file. But a new problem has arisen as prior to the upgrade I activated the maintenance mode plugin (v 3.2) and I’m now unable to get to the login panel. I’m thinking i should delete the plugin but I am not sure if thats the best thing to do.

In reply to: Image Upload Give Error in 2.5.1Yes I have the same problem. Somewhere in the support fourum is a possible solution see Upload error
The solution offered there works for some but not all and if your not a techie forget it, its all very arcane.
Not being able to upload an image is quiet a flaw. its not clear if its a bug in WP or something else.Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Upload errorI have the same problem as everone else: HTTP error when I try to upload an Image. All the Word press files are in a directory named latest which is at root level. What level is the .htacess file that is being talked about? There is an .ht access file at root level but there is not one in my wordpress directory. I tried creating one with the lines from JonasBangs post and uploaded it to the wordpress directory but after that I could not access anything, just got a 500 internal server error message. So I quickly deleted the file and at least all the other wordpress funtions are back. Can anyone give some very specific instrutions about this .htaccess file. should it be a new file or additional lines to an existing file and what directory should it be in?
