In reply to: Font /text issuesThanks!! I now have the video on the homepage but it’s not where I want it. Can you tell me how to move the Pubslush button up and center it on all the pages? And also put the video under that only on the homepage? Cheers!

In reply to: Font /text issuesfunny what a period makes huh?! ok i’m almost done! just a few minor things:
* on the homepage, is there a way to move the ‘support on pubslush’ button up so that it’s on the same level between the HOME header and ‘recent news’ widget?
* right underneath the ‘support on pubslush’ button, i would like to have an instructional video with the embed code <iframe src=”//player.vimeo.com/video/46393546?api=1″ width=”400″ height=”300″ frameborder=”0″ webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe> but when i add that to the homepage in edit mode the code itself appears and not the vimeo video viewer.
* is everything gonna look crammed in after we do all this or should we stretch out the dimensions of the page a bit for balance?
* how do i get the ‘recent news’ widget to only appear on the homepage?
* further, if the widget is removed from the ‘pubslush goal’ page, how can i move the ‘support on pubslush’ button to the upper right corner of the page for balance?Sorry for all the work you’ve been having to do. I REALLY appreciate it! Cheers!

In reply to: Font /text issuesalso, here’s the code that a guy in another forum gave me to tweak a few things:
article, #secondary { background: none; }
#respond { display: none; }
.page .entry-title {
position: absolute !important;
clip: rect(1px 1px 1px 1px); /* IE7 */
clip: rect(1px, 1px, 1px, 1px);
}
#main { padding-top: 0; }Forum: Fixing WordPress

In reply to: Font /text issuesok. just to make sure, you want me to delete everything out of the CSS Stylesheet Editor right?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Font /text issueswell, that didn’t work. in fact it put in some errant language on the menu bar ‘skip to content’ and ‘search for’. i tried to change the code using CSS edit but that didn’t do anything so i went to the editor and removed clip:rect(1px1px1px1px). the result you see now on the site is what it looks like after doing that. any thoughts?

In reply to: Font /text issuesThat worked great! Thanks! One last question: If you visit any of the pages, you’ll see that immediately under the menu bar and between the text blocks there’s a lot of dead space. Do you know how to put the page name in that area for each page? Thanks!!

In reply to: [Book Lite] How to create stand alone pages, not blog rollhi paul. thanks again for your help! that theme just was working as i wanted it to and the mods were getting to be too much of a hassle for me (and you).
i switched back to the 20-13 theme and used the code you provided and it works great. Now i have only 3 issues left:
* the fonts are different for each page. so if i click the menu buttons and switch pages i get arial on one and times roman on another. i’ve deleted the pages, re-written them, and did the whole process over and i still have the same problem.
* how can i wrap text around images?
* it now makes sense to have the page title at the top of each text block when you click a menu button. how do i get that back?thanks again! david

In reply to: [Book Lite] How to create stand alone pages, not blog rollPaul,
I was able to delete some of the widgets under the header but the following is still occurring:
* there’s a white ‘band’ under the image that won’t go away
* the name of the page, an ‘edit’ link, a fancy little divider bar, and comment form
* I don’t want any of that. Just the header image and text on the homepage and unique, individual pages for each menu button.Does that make sense? https://ecguitars.com/
Thanks!

In reply to: [Book Lite] Page and Post templateshi all,
i have created my menu and am uploading content to my pages, no problem there. my question is: is there a way to configure book lite so that when you click a menu button it goes to a unique page? right now it just puts the content in under my homepage header like a blog roll or something. the site is at https://ecguitars.com/ if you click ‘about the author’ you’ll see what i mean. thanks!
